I marathonned this for 20 straight hours over the course of a weekend. By Monday, I was left emotionally drained, fully incapacitated and without a good explanation as to why I would subject myself to this. It was brilliantly acted, expertly directed and the haunting musical themes were world class earworms, but reflecting on the overall catharsis this stroy brings, I find myself wanting to go back change lines, scene depictions and characteristics of the players to arrive at a more comforting conclusion. If you watch after reading this, I hope I haven't spolied a single surprise in the script; it was, after all, someone's Labor of Love and I will not degrade it by my unmet expectations. Overall, a wonderful cautionary tale with as much warning against over-confidence as unrealistic Hope. You will rememeber this...
