Wow @Mama K. Good on you for taking it up with them. It also offends me when *all* Korean scripted shows are labelled K-Drama, Soap and/or Melodrama. It’s racist and insulting when Halyu produces so much incredible film making, writing and acting. I can’t remember the last time a show from the US made me laugh and cry like these Korean mini series do.
I just hope they provide English subtitles and not just English CC and don’t refer to it as a “soap” or “melodrama”. Some of the Korean shows produced by Disney+ are great but spoiled by the closed captions. Call it Love was beautiful but we finished up making a drinking game; taking a drink every time we saw [smack’s lips].
It seems that Netflix is the only American company that understands that English speakers from the rest of the world want to hear the actual actors speaking in Korean with English subs and do not wish to hear the terrible American overdub.
