VegasPete are my favorite couple and I was rooting for them since the beginning. But, after watching their scene in yesterday's episode I was taken aback.
I can not enjoy the couple as I expected. I thought Vegas will be softer with pete, since he fell in love with him and he will listen to him and be more open about his feelings with him. But, he still has the same toxic behavior. He shut down his feelings undermined his opinion and even worse used violence again and threatened him. The way he said that because they slept together he can not say what he wants, brought me to tears. It was like if Vegas never cherished their moments together.
I am really confused. Does he really love him or does he really think of him as a pet, someone who should not have any opinions or feelings.
Some people may say that they rushed their stroy in the drama but there was a better development in the novel. I did not read the novel so if you did can you explain to me how is it like?
Vegas's behavior is still toxic even with the one that he loves. I really doubt that he understand what love is and I am afraid that he is taking Pete's love and care for granted.

Both of them for me seems to have that kind of dynamic. Vegas literally said that he wants Pete because he needs him. And, Pete's seems to be only honest and to truely say what he feels after being abused!!! (I'm a human/ I have feelings). Pete fails to experess his feelings and has a habit of concealing his feelings and put other people's needs first (asking Vegas if he is okay even tho a minute earlier he was slapping himself in absolute agony). Both of them still struggle with vulnerability and expressing their feelings. I thought they already got over that when Pete opened up about his childhood and when Vegas was crying because of the death of his hedgehog.
I'm really not enjoying their dynamic at the moment.
However, BibleBuild acting, line delivery, feelings, face expressions are just ON POINT. They deserve so much recognition. Bible was perfect in portraying the psychopathic partner who is not able to control his anger and can get agressive at any moment. The transition from sadness to anger to confusion is amazing. I cried a lot for Pete. Build brought up so many emotions. He portrayed the traumatized character perfectly. That man deserves the world. I still believe that Pete have feelings for Vegas and do not just feel pitty for him. But, I'm scared of Vegas. Will he change? Will he be able to love Pete? I know that he never felt love before and never recieved love before and that's why he is the way he is. That's why I also think that Pete shouldn't have forgave him so fast. Vegas need to prove himself more. He needs to regret what he did to build ( and tawan also if possible) and even pay for it (idk how but he has to).
I couldn't see any character development for Vegas and that's why I could not enjoy Vegas Pete storyline. If there's anything about it in the novel let me know. And feel free to contradict me and tell me your opinion about their story so far. Thank you ^^

Tbh a lot of Thai bl actors have made similar statements and insensitive jokes about rape before (e.g. krist, singto) and I never looked at them the same way. I totally understand you.
Unfortunately tho in Thailand it is not considered a big deal and even those who apologized did not look sincere about it.
Woman rights and minorities rights including LGBTQ+ in Thailand are still not developped and a lot of poeple lack awareness so don't expect much simply because they are actors.

Pete is the head body guard of the main family, we have never seen him scared or flinshing even when shooting on poeple (the scene when they killed the old man who betrayed Kinn and sold the main family information). But, whenever he is around Vegas he seems tensed and uneasy. I know you guys would say "oh but that's because he knows what kind of person Vegas is'. No he did not. When Vegas came to eat at the main family house and then put his hand on Pete's shoulder, Pete flinshed so hard and I don't think it was becuse he knows what kind of things Vegas is into, or anyone, I guess at that point. He knew he's kinda evil but he didn't flinsh because he was scared of him, because he never was.
Also, remember time when he was following Vegas and saw the condoms in the bag. I mean what kind of reaction was that? Never seen codoms before. In the scene where Vegas touched his hand to take the condoms, Pete was panicking like if his heart was beating at 1000km/h. (Sorry for my English).
Later, when he and all the other bodyguards discovered how Vegas likes to torture his victims and what kind of things he is into, the expressions on Pete's face were not of fear, disgust or pittiness. He was intregued!
How about the scene where Porshe was running away with Vegas and Pete came to stop them. Pete said he always trusted Porshe so why did he get into a serious physical fight with him. He was trying to stop him from going with Vegas, not because he was jealous but beacuse he is always in Vegas's business. Did he do so because he was the main family bodyguard? emmm I don't think so..
To prove to you that he was always getting himself in Vegas's business, I want you just to think about the reason why he wanted to get the minor family exposed. Despite the fact that Kinn warned him and tried to stop him from going into the minor family house. Why did he do that? Because of his loyalty to main family ? For Porshe? For the sake of the truth? No, he really wanted to beat Vegas! It was all mainly because of Vegas. He may did not realized it himself, fooling himself thinking that he was trying to reveal the truth. But ,I think it was becase he was attracted to him.
Previous scenes gave hints on how pete is into BDSM (Pete has a weird habit of lifting weight naked!) Pete himself did not know that (maybe cos he never experienced anything like that before) but his kink was triggered when he saw Vegas doing his violent acts and also by being locked up by Vegas. Pete and Vegas are both twisted characters. Pete liked Vegas first. That's why, he didn't run when he had a chance to and that's why he kissed Vegas first. It's not Pete who saw Vegas for who he is and fell in love with him. It was Vegas who saw through his innocent face and helped him get out that dark side of him (A little psycho). Pete represents the evil that exists in a facade of kindness. Don't forget y'all he is still a mafia guy no matter how innocent and how noble his intentions may seem like. Tbh I was really shocked by Pete's big reveal (and I don't mean the b**ty haha XDD) but not disappointed. What do you guys think ? I would love to hear your opinions. And for those who are worried about the second season and the authors countraversies, I think KP and VP are both so loved and I'm pretty sure we will get both of them in S2 even with new authors (I'm mad at the authors too tbh). Which ones are the main couple and which ones are the side couple? Emm does that really matters. We will get more of each story and I won't mind it even if Kimshay are the main couple ahaha Peace out ^^
