Definitely did not leave him for 7 months. I didn't see that in the subs, and CEO Ma stated that he was burning all his vacation at once. Regarding selling his house, I could see him doing that very quickly as he was in so much pain living there.

Like @A-tom, I was confused/frustrated a bit by episode 15, but after seeing the final episode, it all made perfect sense. Honestly, I have this neck and neck with Reply 1988 as my #1 all-time favorite, but I'm a relative noobie having only watched about 30 dramas to date. And as an introduction to k-dramas, I can't see a better option than this. Sure, it is not representative of many k-dramas because it skips so many of the standard tropes (love triangles, back hugs, wrist grabbing (except by Ji Ho!), rich heirs, time leaps, etc.), but if you want to get your friend hooked on your passion, have them watch a few episodes of this and see what happens.
