It's family drama. When did this things happen in this drama?
While I generally agree with this, what I appreciated in this drama was that he had to earn her trust first as a friend long before any talk of romance started. She trusted him from the start, was burned, and he had to earn it back. It took time, and he did grow and change. So it wasn't the same guy at the beginning who wins her in the end. This is different from other dramas where they gloss over problematic elements.

I hear you. That scene DEFINITELY had me pondering dropping it because I could not empathize with her brattiness at all. She was totally, absolutely, in the wrong there.

But might I suggest you continue? This is just the beginning of Rose's journey, in which she grows and learns and ends up in a different place than where you left it off. I too struggled right where you did, but it ended up as one of my favorites.
