Yeah same here. I think one reason why we can't connect with Ancient Love Poetry is that we can only see the Immoral realm and Demon realm and we don't actually see any real humans (mortals). Therefore we can't really tell/ feel that the main characters are immortals because we don't have any comparison with the mortals in the story. Also this might be because the storyline wasn't thought out very well.
