I think having watched Princess Royal recently made me think of her as a possible choice for Shen Miao, but I see where you are coming from. I think with this drama, it will be impossible for the actors to not be attacked by netizens given the popularity of the novel and the expectations for the main characters. Also, I thought the books were by two different authors? Wasn't Princess Royal written by Mo Shu Bai and TROTMEOML is written by Qian Shan Cha Ke? Or am I mistaken here?

This!!! If they plan to turn the novel into a drama, they should not disappoint the novel readers by casting just anybody for the roles. It would be disappointing if the chosen actors don’t live up to the character in terms of description and complexity. Even if we were to throw the character description out the window (as there might not be someone who look exactly like how XJX is described) then the actors should at least be able to bring out the character’s personality, demeanor, and expressions such as XJX’s fav smile that is not a smile look

I was thinking Zhao Jinmai could also be a possible choice for Shen Miao especially since Shen Miao Jiao is quite young and has a rounder face. But then again Jiao Jiao has almond shaped eyes… it’s difficult to find people who would fit the character description to the T. It’ll be interesting to see how the cast comes together.

I need the author to be involved in the casting ASAP. I have to know who they had in mind for Xie Jing Xing especially with all the sentences about his handsome looks.
