So from what I can tell, humans had no supernatural powers 3000 years ago. And the spirit clan are basically like aliens from a dying planet. Not all of them are over-powered with supernatural abilities. I think most aren't much different from humans with probably somewhat physical advantages... ML gained the powers from their Saintess in the past and became who he is now.
As for the spirit-hunters, they only appeared after the great war. I'm guessing they kinda learned from spirits and their knowledge kinda evolved from their, gaining powers of their own.
can you spoiler it please.. i wanted to watch this drama.. but dont wanna see it with ending being trash
ML eventually returns to the past. Then FL wakes up and finds herself back on the bus as if the whole drama was a dream... except it did happen? The events seem to have changed history somewhat. And then there's some unexplained instances of the ML suddenly appearing and disappearing in front of FL occasionally... In the end we're not even really sure if the modern version of the ML is his reincarnation or not since he only appears for a few seconds in the last episode...
It's HE, but you have to watch the special extra episode for the real ending.
ooh... Thanks for the tip! Subs I can wait as long as there are ppl subbing. It's just sometimes for special episodes there may or may not be subs that is the issue.
Man I hope this arc of ML trying to extract YunXi's spirit from FL's body ends soon... obviously both have merged and FL is in fact YunXi's reincarnation right?
Yes thats why humans were mass destroyed, i think they could hold up to some degree when non-humans helped them…
They were talking about how his mortal body is housing the spirit core of YunXi. I'm assuming that's where his supernatural powers come from. I think humans use spells and formations to combat spirits.

I'm pretty sure LuYan is a human. It mentioned he was a human general. The only way I can think of that they even stood somewhat of a chance is if humans also possessed powers. Maybe Inner Strength? Or some other ways to harness magic?
Do we find out what happens to Bai Shiqi yet?

I haven't watched it myself yet since I'm pretty sure it'll finish subbing by next week
