Also, the scene when his brother comes to offer the job to YiSeo, my puppy has teeth! Yay! Also, I realized one…
SaeRoYi's like for SooAh seems more like a a first crush that never went away. To be honest he was always more concentrated in his revenge than thinking about love to begin with. I never really understood why he liked SooAh. From what I understand he has a very strong sense of morality and saw her struggling against her own morals to survive. Is it pity? Sympathy? In episode 9, it seems like he's finally realizing Jo YiSeo's feelings for him so maybe he'll finally be able to seriously think about his own feelings for a change instead of remembering the feelings he had in the past.
SooAh sees SaeRoYi as a light, a persevering person she wishes she could be but lacks the courage to be. She knows what's right and wrong but chooses to go against her own morals to not be looked down upon by others.. to survive. So she's envious of SaeRoYi who has circumstances even worse than her but managed to overcome them and continues to stay true to himself. At the same it's also the reason she admires him and likes him.
Jo YiSeo's love seems the most abrupt but she sees SaeRoYi as the person that brought change to the mundaneness in her life. She has always easily succeeded but when she saw the struggles of SaeRoYi and his persistence to stay true to his own beliefs she couldn't help but grow attached since she herself has never experienced them before. She's actively trying to explore these new feelings and trying to understand him.
Jang GeunSoo has feelings for Jo YiSeo but I'm not sure where it stems from. He recognizes her faults and even tries to understand her but I'm curious as to what drew him to her in the first place. Perhaps it's how she acts without worrying about consequences while he has always been living in the shadow of his own family. Her free personality contrasting his own of a constant inner struggle to prove himself?
Overall, both seem like good guys. It's disheartening to see Jo YiSeo straight up reject Jang GeunSoo. While I really did not like SooAh at first, she is definitely growing on me. Jo YiSeo is looking less and less sociopathic as well. Park SaeRoYi, well, I just hope he get's what he wants.
I'm a little confused... didn't DongHua and FengJiu send their "shadows" to guard some realm earlier? Are these the incarnations of Aranya and Cheny Ye?
But now they're saying they're entering a dream of Aranya's...
So are they actually the same people or are they just filling their roles in the dream?
I recall the Biyi Bird Queen mentioning FengJiu looking familiar when they first met...
