I think in the end the king didn't really care whether or not she was his biological daughter. maybe he felt guilty towards her mother. but he's a good king

Watching raws... my Chinese isn't the best, but from I gather... Yi Shao is the daughter of the king's concubine and a chef. The concubine was forced to marry the king and later escaped but the king truly did love her. I'm only on episode 31 though.
