I am not the kind to cry while reading I feel like in difference with a show you have the time to control your emotions since you read at your own pace hmm so yeah I don't get overly emotional with a book even when major characters death ahahah but I love trying to picture it in my head even more when it has a live adaption it makes it more easy since you have the actors on your mind (it just dont works sometime when they cast physically different actors it happens sometimes and I am like what? so hard to imagine them as this character ahah)

For example I bought heartstopper books after having watch the 2 seasons and I felt like the book would have been more enjiyable if I had read it first since the series follows it a lot and I find it better in the end (thought I loved the books anyway ahha I will just have enjiyed it more I guess)

just reading your comments gives me so much wanting of a season2 >.< Yet I am skeptical for a BL to have enough budget to pull a story in this kind of era bcz he says in the series moustache Yai is a warrior and as you call him "commander" I guess there must be wars to show and also the scenery in this era must be much more complicated to set. Lets be honnest the actual series was filmed mainly in the house other than that they did a little market and found an old bar that's all so it was easier for budget purposes I guess to only do 1920's era and not the other era. Yet with your explanation I want to know more about this Commander Yai >.< I feel like I may love him even more than Khun Yai ^^

OMG honestly what would make the most sense I guess is for Busabong (I think I got the name right? the one he should have married in 1920's) or his father Brother Perch? Perck? to be the one that cursed him. Maybe bcz he should have married her in the commander Yai era?

before the generic : the Yai we see in 2023 is the reincarnation of the 1928 Yai (means our Yai is dead) For whatever reason he remembers his past life and so Jom. How on hell? did he experienced any thing like Jom? please explain to me if there is more info on the novel 🙏🏼
then I was completely lost with the post generic scene and the Yai from ???? 1700? 1800? I don't know at all. Well it's the Yai that saves him in the river and give him the ring right ?
Q1 : I guess this Yai version is the starting point of there love. What I don't get is why its still with the 2023 Jom ? Is he condaimned to time travel and meet all the versions of his Yai to finally never be with any?
Q2 : Related to last question. If Jom finally found is own version from the same era in 2023 at the end WHY ON HELL IS HE DRAGGED AGAIN IN THE PAST? Or was Yai 2023 the ghost of our 1928 Yai? And he was able to send him back on time with a kiss (as the water Yai) but not into the good era?
Q3: Is Jom happy in the end with any version of Yai ? 😭 If he can time travel I would have liked he went back to Yai 1928 but judging by the letter he read that didn't happened right ....

I found ep1 so boring (dragging too much on some scenes) I thought I will drop but I continued and I am happy I am at ep 6 now and I slowly got into it :) Thought I rly don't like so many things happening in the drama but its normal since its historical drama >.< I feel its going to be a sad ending at least in 1920's. Maybe he will meet Yai reincarnation in 2020's when he will be back. I'll cross fingers 🤞🏼

Actually I'll say him having just 2 in this much time seems very unrealistic. Its pretty "easy" compared to other transplants to have a cornea transplant. But maybe its different in Thailand ...

Did I found the end good ? Yes. Did I found it bad ? Yes. There was good and bad and I will not rant here about what could have been different because some people will not understand we can dislike things in a show we actually like overall.
I will keep the positive of this show and there was actually a lot ! It's definetly one of the best BL produced to date and a real must watch for every BL lover. For me from ep 1 to 9 there are no debates everything is just perfection from writing choices to script to acting to cinematography. Then they lost me a bit with the 3 last episodes with their writing choices but MhokDay will forever remain in my heart ❤
It's a strong 9 for me and a must rewatch at least till ep9.
Hope it gets even more recognition and people watching now that it has ended bcz damn Jimmy Sea deserve better! There are some ship in GMMTV so popular but with just acceptable acting skills when these 2 guys have proved they can act like REALLY act.
If you want to know if you should give this show a chance : don't wait anymore and throw yourself into Last Twilight without second thought ;)

I know donation exists. One of my friend had a cornea donation she as now a black/blue eye so I think its realist to be able to have a donation.
No my problem was the cliché that its christmas like he got "a miracle" "a gift" thx to this day it's just that. If it was a normal day I think I will not have disliked it

Yeah I got it but either this forgiveness is too soon or they pushed to much of Day's angryness in the earlier episodes because it didn't gave the feeling he could come to terms with it in a single day. I would have prefered okay he talk back to Night but "forgives" him later after having give more than a second thought (this how I felt for me it was sooo rushed with how much anger Day had in himself towards Night ..)
For the glove someone else mentionned it I didn't noticed at all I was wondering if he was talking about the blue color of the glove 😅

Yes but its still a bit too cliché for me this notice on christmas you see its wanting to push "the hope" message a bit too much. I think it irked me bcz usually I think P'Aof just don't go with too much cliché stuff he brings more "real" feeling to it. I don't know just I disliked this correlation between good news and christmas.
And yeah it makes sense what you say thay Day's dad conversation helped him but ... I don't know I think I would have liked more reasons since he was so angry with him like it just vanishes so easily. I would have undrrstand if he had just started talking normally to him again but the "I forgive you" felt so early for me based on his previous reactions

Well I know what I am going to say is not what the majority of people felt about ep 10 but anyway I need to let this out.
Honestly I loved every single min from ep1 to ep9 BUT after watching ep10 I felt very disapointed.
*SPOILER ALERT STARTING THIS POINT IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCH EP10 YET*
That being said ~
First, was I the only one that felt disoriented with the start of the ep ? Like I was not sure was it the same day of them going to the mountain? If yes it must have been very very late. And then when they go to the doctor apart from Day it seems they are wearing the same outfit ? Also why bother having a talk with Mohk the other day and not directly on the spot? Well really I was very confused I don't think the scenes flowed correctly so I couldnt get into the drama at all.
Second, Day forgetting Night so easily left me perplexed. Like yes okay Mark really played well the emotions of Night feelinh disbelief then happiness when Day talked with him normally. BUT the problem is why did he talked to him so easily? Bcz he heard his mom puting the blame on him? So that could explain why he felt he was "playing the perfect son" bcz it was his mom obliging him? Like ... he was so angry with him and just that was enough ? Okay they show a picture of them being very close so maybe even if it was the younger brother taking care of the older brother it didn't bother Day bcz he was anyway very close with Night but was that shown ? No. I would have liked I don't know ... some flashbacks maybe? showing that they had a deep bound instead of a picture and a lame little oversdroping conversation. Like for real I don't get how Day could be like "I forgive you" so early after saying "I'll never forgive him" ...
Third no Night you don't say her child is yours. No. Did she allowed you? No. You are not even together. Like ... she is not a thing. Her baby is not a thing. I really disliked this sentence even if it intended no harm I think it was not appropriate.
Fourth, well at least I very very much liked their little date with the pop up books and the exhibition +painting that showed sweetness between them in a swift way of saying that blind people could do very normal things as anyone else if it was made in a good way for them to still appreciate it. Well that was it.
Last what I disliked : This christmas day (apart from the reconnecting of the mom and child but it didnt needed to be labeled cliché christmas ...) Like how on hell after having eat all the dishes of his mom he can still eat all that Mhok prepared ? Also I didn't understand when he said "he painted" the glove himself. Is it an issue with the subtitles?
And well this stupid cliché he have its eye donation ON CHRISTMAS DAY like this was very too much cliché that made me laughed when nothing in that scene was made to be laughable ...
And I want to say Mohk's sentence that he now understood what that mean to want to stay in a moment forever during their dinner felt SO FLAT like yes the sentence in itself is beautiful but what was that damn so good in THAT moment ? Like so many better moments they had. I f he had said that after their little date I think it would have been more meaningful.
Well sorry to all that came to read my unpopular opinion lol but I needed to let my disappointement out about this episode since I liked this show so much from the beginning >.< I hope ep11 and 12 will be great bcz I don't want to lower my rating just for a single ep.
