I haven't started the drama but I am a Bailu fan and have liked ML in his last few dramas. So why is the MDL rating…
Maybe you should watch and decide by yourself. Never let ratings, fans, haters or anyone tinted your appreciation of dramas! For me, I won’t rate this drama because I love Bai Lu and Joseph Zeng, but I have critics for the plot. It’s an entertaining drama, have fun and take it for what it is.
22 episodes in and I’m still on BaiJui side, maybe the next episodes will make me understanding Li Qingyue act of vengeance better. Bai Qian ( Eternal Love ) hatred was 1000/100 understandable. Sang Jui/Li Su Su ( Till the End of the Moon ) hatred and vengeance was absolutely understandable. But in Feud, until now there no rational reason for her meticulously planned and cruel vengeance. She and Bai Jiu have different principles and points of view and they are all valid. I used to ask my father when I was young, if God exists, why there are crimes, famine, poverty, … why God doesn’t intervene? He responded because of free will and destiny. Maybe because of that I understand Bai Jui so do I understand Li Qingyue, because I can’t sit and watch someone who in need. But, I think She’s mad and the wrong. My favourite Bai Lu character will always be from The Legends. I really hope her vengeance will be justified in end. 6 am (in Canada) couldn’t come faster for episodes 23 & 24.
Idk why but for me hua ruyue character is now getting super annoying. For the f*cks sake tell him that you were…
I agree with the most part of your comment. In those 20 episodes, I still don’t understand her hatred for BaiJui. She didn’t even seem to love BaJui or cared for him, it’s was all about the Ming (or Meng) grandson. I hope the nexts episodes will really help justify her agressive vengeance towards him, because until now, it felt misplaced.
It’s been a long time since I watched every episode of a cdrama since The Untamed (still my favourite cdrama). What I loved the most about this drama: the villains are well written, they are as intelligents as the principal character/the hero and the of the hero isn’t perfect and makes mistakes. The marquis is my favourite villain. He’s terrifying, charismatic and have a great screen presence. From now on, I’ll be looking all of the actor work, he won me over as a new fan. I was sure that the prince( king’s brother) was the third villain. I felt tense, anxious and afraid at his first appearance. There was something in his eyes that made me just feel panic for Zang Hai!😆 Seriously, great acting. Master Gao was simply wonderful and lovely. I loved his dynamic with Zang Hai, really feels like father and son. When he slapped Zang Hai, I knew he wouldn’t hurt him even if he works with the third villain. Only someone who truly love you would reacted as he did when Zang Hai went to confess and reveal his identity to the king. Eunuch Cao played wonderfully his role too, I felt uncomfortable and anxious every time he’s on screen. His eyes and energy were diabolical😂 This is the first time vilains scared me through the my screen and I’m a cinephile, I watched a lot of dramas and movies. I liked the king. I have seen some critics about how he didn’t feel like a king because he’s not charismatic enough. But, I see his character as someone who had to become a king to protect himself and escape death while his carpenter is his true passion and he displayed that feeling well. Xiao Zhan, he’s one of my boys, my biases, sorry I can’t criticize him, I just love him.🤪 I was really happy seeing him on my screen again and was pleased to see his growth as a actor. It’s unfortunate his dramas can’t be objectively rate due to war between stans and antis. Dongxia royals arteries captured my eyes. Not only they were magnificent, but the moment I saw them, I automatically thought of the mongols empire in Marco Polo drama. I note sure if Dongxia is a part of mongols culture, they too use Khan instead of king. I loved princess An tou, she’s a badass, I would liked more fighting scenes with her, but I’m satisfied nevertheless. There wasn’t a filer character, they all served their purpose. Hoping there’ll be a season about the supernatural things of the drama with the ghosts soldiers. I did my best to write this review without using google translate, but English is my third language, so sorry if this is difficult to read! It’s been pleasant reading the commentaires and the theories about the third villain and Zhan Hai being used, most of you were right about it, bravo!
It’s just too funny to me! I read some comments here complaining why this, why that, this is stupid, that makes no sense and so one. While there were already explanations through the episodes. The funniest was the one that said she/he “skipped a lot of episodes because they were boring” then proceeded complaining that a lot of things didn’t make sense, then asking numerous questions. 😆
