« "Black belly"/ 腹黑(fu hei) is a common term used to describe a character's personality in c-novels. Literally, it means stomach black and is usually used to mean that someone is secretly quite evil/sly/manipulative, because you will only know that the person is black belly after being eaten up! »
Interesting! I've never read c-novels, so I literally had no idea what this meant. I live for "black-bellied" characters. Gonna dive straight into this drama!
I am a total psycho for asking this. But do you guys know any similar dramas where one of the main male leads…
Sealed with a Kiss Empress Ki Sanaeha Sunya Kaen Ra Rerng Fai (Mai Sin Rai Fai Sawart) (only halfway subbed *sobs in a corner*) The King's Woman
We're talking real possessive male leads here, some more deranged than others. Enjoy! p.s. Would recommend you to steer clear off Le Jun Kai and Roy Leh Sanae Rai. The male leads in these shows were utter garbage with, in my opinion, no redeeming qualities. Watch at your own peril (if you must).
Her husband became obsessed with her bc of her face now the lead guy will start to fall for her bc of her new…
One would expect that, but nope. I like that they didn’t take that route for this drama. What they have right now is a warm, slow-budding relationship where the doctor just wants to protect her and help her lead a healthier, happier life. He’s well aware of the fact that she’s nothing like his deceased wife.
I know right! I'm having the same problem. I feel so guilty for preferring Evil Husband over Mr. Plastic Surgeon…
@jhsuan Agree! His acting is what carries this drama. Don’t get me wrong, I love everything about this drama, but I really couldn’t imagine it without Ryu Soo Young.
This is so well put together. Captivating soundtrack, intriguing plot and great acting. The characters are especially well-written: complicated and interesting. Kang In Wook, for example, is the kind of character we want to hate but cannot help but empathise with. The use of flower symbolism also really adds to the emotional and sombre ambience of the drama. So far, solid—heck, impressive. Really hope they'll keep it that way.
I agree, mega creepy. At the same time, I was relieved that he was so shocked when he took her bandages off, showing…
Will be interesting to see if he'll be able to recognize her AND "fall in love" with her again now that her face has changed. I guess only then we'll know if he truly loved her for her.
Yuck. I knew I was going to hate this but still (for some reason) ended up watching it. I find it ironic that they always cast Push to play these kind of sleazebag-manslut roles. Maybe they hope if the ml is too hot, the audience will just ignore and sweep under the rug all the sleazebag stuff he does. In no way is his behaviour acceptable nor redeemable. "You're a girl, I'm a guy. It's ok for me to act like a slut". WTF man? NO.
Reads the first lines of the two reviews above "Finally ended !", "In the end that was just a disaster." and suddenly I don't feel that awful for dropping this drama at ep 8. *pats self on back* Well done, here's a cookie.
Wondering the same! I am especially looking forward to Mr. Right and Mermaid's Prince, pls air soon..ok doesn't matter when, just air. These dramas just need to happen.
Loved, loved, loved it! Characters, Story, Romance, Comedy everything was amazing. Loved the lead couples chemistry.…
Wut? She matured? When? I was rooting for her, ok, I really was, but her character didn't go through any development at all. She didn't achieve anything for herself throughout the entire drama. I'm not the type to get annoyed by naive/silly fls, but 32 eps with this chick and her happy-go-lucky attitude was a bit unbearable. A pity, cause I love Lee Da Hae and her chemistry with Lee Dong Wook is simply undeniable, but her character needed better writing.
Love your article! ♡(ˆˇˆ) I am still waiting for Let's Have Dinner Together and Mermaid’s Prince/Cat and Dog to get an adaptation (although these two have already been confirmed to get drama adaptations but still no news, sigh)

Now how do I wait for next week’s eps?! :((
Hear, hear.
