Where did I say there weren’t black actors? I said black people/actors weren’t allowed when the shows first started. Self respecting ones wouldn’t be apart of it anyway by choice. Them making their own show almost 100 years after it originated is irrelevant to the point we’re both trying to make. My point on minstrel shows still stands. It was racial theatrical entertainment meant to degrade and it’s highly offensive. You’re right. It is. They seem to be just like this Jennie person.

I always wondered how the dark people in Thailand felt about the lack of representation and the disrespect from all sides. To my knowledge, I thought there were quite a few dark skinned people in that country. This is very informative for those who actually want to learn something about others they didn't know. I will say that you're not 100% accurate when explaining the minstrel shows. Black people weren't allowed to do any acting, etc. when the shows first started, so white males would dress up in blackface and caricature the slaves' singing and dancing. They impersonated black people with the goal of making them look as stupid and as bad as possible to their audience. It was beyond disrespectful and anyone who supports it (even inadvertently) should be ashamed. I see where the other person is coming from, but I feel they are being intentionally and willfully obtuse, or just plain ignorant. Yes, this person wants to work, but it seems like they have no self respect. I, as a black woman, wouldn't take a part that is intentionally made to belittle and or ridicule me just because of the color of my skin to make lighter or white women look good. But money has made people do some really jacked up things. Representation matters and good for you for putting the knowledge out there. A lot of the world is colorist/racist and it will probably take a long time to see real change, especially when people have mindsets like some in the comments.
I really label majority of lakorns as a dark romance or a bully romance. That genre in literature is not everyone's…
I did see that the one I love is a remake. I won't be watching the original though. At least they were a bit more tasteful in the new one. I will have to check those out! I just hate that we only get like an hour of our happily ever after even though we witness so many hours of drama. Lol. I'm a crybaby, I guess.

Yes friend! They are so beautiful. There's rape in that one too though, so I know what you mean. I didn't think it was rape at 1st, but it falls under the definition even though it wasn't violent or brutal. Coercion. I learned something new. My only thing with most Lakorns I've seen is we have to watch their horrible struggle, but then we don't get to see their happy life after the fact. Like it's implied and that's all we get in the very last episode. That annoys me every time.

I started reading bully romance/enemies to lovers because of Lakorns. Smh. I developed a taste for them after watching Kleun Cheewit which is hands down my favorite Lakorn of all time. Also the fact that they are all so pretty. :/
So I might be late to but what really happened and why was this show dropped and also how do you make account…
People were probably stealing subs like they always do. So now you have to donate to them with paypal and they will email you with account info. They usually get back to you really quickly. You can watch completed dramas on the site without having to do anything, but airing ones, you need an account. It's up to episode 3. It airs Monday and Tuesday.
This! I really wanted to like this one. The plot is so up my alley. The handsome pirate King chasing his bride.…
I didn't ask why she's the way she is. I said it was annoying that she was that way. And then to bring others into her stupidity makes it even more so. Of course it's a part of her character. That doesn't change anything. She doesn't have to be perfect, just have some common sense. She constantly puts herself in situations that she needs help to get out of or runs in head 1st without fully thinking about the consequences even though she is severely lacking. Most female leads are like this, that's why I have learned to drop dramas where they exhibit this behavior early on. That's me. I don't need to be convinced by you or others to continue because I don't care.

To accuse me of not "watching the drama properly" is awfully conceited and obtuse. I saw what everyone else saw. Realistically speaking, with the character acting the way she does and the talents or lack thereof that she has, she'd already be dead. Involving yourself in things that you aren't able to properly handle, no matter how righteous your intentions are, is idiotic and self-serving. When you are not fully prepared for the consequences of your actions, then that should at the very least be considered stupid. But not stopping with yourself and endangering others to sate your bloated idealistic hero appetite is even more so. We all like a certain level of realism in our dramas, (the way people interact with each other, etc) and this to me is just too far gone. In any other situation, she'd have been raped and murdered long ago. So thinking realistically, like I do, it makes it annoying for her to be THAT dumb (again, no matter what intentions she has). I watched 8 episodes. It's dropped. I may go back for him later and just skip the scenes he's not in. We'll see.

I don't attribute it just to her wanting to get away. When watching dramas, I always say, "this would never fly in real life." Or maybe it would cause misogyny *shrugs* it is set in the past. I don't like how naive she is. To the point of getting herself in the mess to meet him in the 1st place. She's headstrong with no real way to protect herself or others. She's also super gullible. She did just run straight to the other guy without knowing who he was either. It's the childishness while she's in adult situations that she put herself in that irks me. And the haughty attitude all the while. It's annoying. IRL she'd have been murdered for her always getting in other people's business.
I really wanted to see this one for the ML but the FL is too annoying. She makes me cringe. Had to drop this one.
This! I really wanted to like this one. The plot is so up my alley. The handsome pirate King chasing his bride. They're already married, he's established and so kick a**, handsome, and so much more and he loves her 1st. Then, enter the dumb fl who from episode to episode doesn't know whether she wants to be a bad a** or a damsel in distress. Yes, he has some things to learn, but he's willing to learn and do anything for her and he's so romantic and then she just acts so stupid the whole time. I love him, but it's a hard pass for me because she's just so cringe. You hate to see it.
Is it just me or does Hu Yi Tian look super sick and gaunt in this series? Every time I look at him in one of his scenes, it's all I can think of. He just doesn't look healthy or happy at all.
