Respectively,no.there's a reason why xk was able to get 100m popularity index while tx didn't.her character was…
This came from Vlinkage, not some rando netizen.

And don't pull me into your hate.

I absolutely love Tian Xiwei. She and Xu Kai had great chemistry together and she was the best part of PoJ.

Too bad she has some nasty-ass fans.

hahaha he IS a blockhead when it comes to romance and understanding women.
He's the one making decisions without talking to her. She's in the dark. The power dynamic is unbalanced in his favor.

He knows she's the only one for him. He won't communicate with her so she can't be sure of that.

She's been betrayed before.

The problem here is women are expecting men to read your minds. I'm a man, and this is advice to all women, if…
Didn't he expect her to read his mind when he completely ignored her in the capital?

The trope I hate the most is the misunderstanding trope. I've watched through ep 19 and it sounds like I'm in for a ton of it.

I think I'm gonna put this on the backburner for a while and maybe skip an episode or two.

Otherwise, I'm really enjoying this drama!

It all comes down to money. They have to find the optimal slot to air it. This is dual platform iQIYi and Youku,…
Pull Strings with Ao Rui Peng just debuted on Youku.

It’s possible that this is all over thinking. I see it could be 1 of 3 scenarios.1. He’s contractually obligated…
In your mind, before he signed on the dotted line, Xu Kai knew exactly how he was going to be treated by Huanyu and netizens. That, after shaving his head, he would be launched into the celebrity stratosphere and blackmarketed without any support from his agency. That everything he said would be scrutinized. If he didn't know how to spell a name, or wore his mask as a headband, he was well aware that he would be ridiculed.

I just can't agree.

Oh, and "eyes wide open" isn't the same as not "completely naive."

Nice pivot though.

The floor is now completely yours. I think I'll do something productive, like re-re-re-re-re-re-rewatch Moonlit Reunion.

By people do you mean you and Cherrybanana?

Admiring? Yes. Belittling? Never. Understanding he's human? Certainly.

You should take up a creative writing career. "Naively walking down this path with stars in his eyes and the thought of fame and fortune. I’m not sure why you want to insist that he’s so naive, bumbling his way through life, being easily led by others."

What an imagination.

So, if Xu Kai's eyes were truly "wide open," he would have expected to have his name traded to benefit other agencies' actors; that, despite being first or second on the call list, he would be called in to sit around for hours and hours in costume, wig, and makeup; that he'd need a hair transplant or two.

Edit: That he would sign up for a project, only for it to be rewritten as female-driven.

What agencies did his friend(s) work for? Were they like Huanyu? Better? Worse?

Labeling my response as triggered demonstrates a level of disrespect. We can disagree, or misinterpret, but this is low. Don't guess how I'm feeling base on some posts.

Aren't you going to ask others to cite their sources ("he entered the industry with his eyes wide open. He knew before he ever signed with Huanyu what the industry was like")?

Edited for the 🍑 comment.

I think, if he were asked now if his eyes were truly wide open 10 years ago to how the game is played, he'd laugh at such a naive statement.

I'm guessing that friend who tried to become an actor didn’t get very far, certainly not far enough to advise anyone.

I don't think he really "knew" the industry until he was in it.

Supposedly Xu Kai was given training, but it doesn't sound like it was very extensive.

According to a 2022 article:

Because he wasn't formally trained in acting, Xu Kai initially spent some of his energy adapting to the set [of Story of Yanxi Palace] and learning the rules. He still remembers his first time filming, feeling embarrassed even to shout. In that scene, he had to run to a cliff and yell "Ahhhhh why?", but during filming, Xu Kai only dared to shout very softly. "I could hear people cursing at me."

At that time, Xu Kai didn't understand what reverse shots, camera angles, or cuts were. In one scene, he was severely criticized and directly called "big dummy."

"He entered the industry with his eyes wide open."

Did he? The only thing he knew about the industry 10 years ago is what Yu Zheng told him. Besides, how could he know that by simply shaving his head he would become an overnight sensation? And become a truly capable actor?

Xu Kai is no longer that innocent newbie now. I trust that he'll do what's best for his family, himself, and his career.

Rating Once Upon a Time in Lingjian Mountain a 1.5 let's me know your opinions carry no weight.
"His dramas is bad" is a pretty hateful thing to say.
