According to a recent tweet:

Zhou Ye once said in an interview that “Young Master Kai” is kind and very generous.

Ke Ying also said during a livestream:
“Young Master Kai is such a kind and generous person. He’s treated us to meals so many times. When he’s on set, we feel like we never have to worry about food or drinks.
“If we finish work early, we go out to eat together in our free time. He feels like the older brother next door. Both on and off camera, he takes such good care of us.”
During the livestream with the young ladies of the Xie family—Zhou Ye, Ke Ying, Yi Han, and Xu Zhenxuan—they called Xu Kai “Young Master Kai.”

He also frequently treats the entire crew to food, including burgers, fried chicken, bubble tea, roast lamb, and barbecue.
(He even hires chefs to grill it fresh right there on set!) He really is so kind and wonderful.

Here's the thing. We have the haters who drag it down and then everybody else who give their honest opinion. If those people would up their rating by a point, it might move the overall rating to a more accurate number.

I don't think the drama deserves a 10, but that's the rating I'm giving it to put the smallest dent in the 1 ratings.

Meh. For the most part his makeup was pretty minimal, but, hey, let's complain about the time they effed up.

It would probably be similar to a variety show. He's keeping busy till the next booting ceremony (which can't come too soon).

She must have been desperate to think the sml could help her. She needed to show some patience and try to work it out with Shen Run.

We saw his (probably) temporary home in Hengtang. I'm guessing he has a residence in the capital.

Someone must have known about the assassination plot so they brought in a child to take the place of Li Si's body.

Poor kid.🙁 Poor family.

Both Ryan Cheng's character and Xu Kai's character had more power than her characters did. At times, they opposed her and at other times they helped her. Her characters provided support to these MLs as well. Plus, there was chemistry between each CP.

I've enjoyed ZY's work including SotB, and will hopefully continue to do so.

The ending is happy. The.execution is not the best.

I'm rating it a 10 because someone needs to counteract the many 1s that were logged way before the drama concluded.
