He's shot a few clever videos to promote Eight Hundred just as he did for Moonlit Reunion. I wonder if we'll have any to look forward to regarding Spring of the Blade.

Two of Xu Kai's projects are being released free of controversy (knock on wood), so perhaps YZ is finally realizing this isn't the way to keep/intimidate XK. But he's also not kissing his butt either. Who knows what's going on in that creep's brain.

I wonder when Wang Xing Yue will be moved up to first place on the Huanyu website, passing Xu Kai and Bai Lu. He stars in three of the five dramas that are highlighted on the homepage, and seems to be YZ's current boy toy.

I'm guessing Xu Kai didn't sign up for iQIYI's AI talent database.

Enough. After seeing Xu Kai get screwed over and over, can you blame fans (including me) for feeling that his characters get sidelined/disappeared to benefit others? I agree this is not the case with Eight Hundred, so I was expecting to see more of him. I'm sorry that my disappointment bothers you.

His villain status has relegated him to second billing, and some of the marketing focuses on the father's point of view. He even has a separate storyline that expands his scenes.

Let us vent without the lectures. We're watching, not boycotting, and enjoying the program.
