Uri told his mom how his school friends were in awe of his mom's beauty and asked him if she was a Miss Korea winner. They were right, lol. Hyun Kyung (the actress portraying Sun Young) was the winner of Miss Korea 1989 in real life.
While I don't really like the Sun Young character (see my previous comments below), I really adore and love the actress -- Oh Hyun Kyung. Her beauty isn't waned by age. I can't believe that she's 54 now, she really looks like 34.
you are starting it now and I just completed it. idk about your taste but it was a 10/10 for me. I think, I'm…
I am at episode 8 now. I watched it slowly because there are new ongoing dramas I am currently watching such as Good Partner, Love Next Door, Perfect Family etc.
Episode 8 is intense. I really didn't expect that the Lee Do Hyun character would betray the IU character in the past. I thought he was her love interest in the past who would then be re-incarnated as the ML (the Jin Goo character), but I guess I was wrong, lol.
After watching ep 7 at least got to know Tsuno's character. He definitely got friend zoned by Mizuki, as she never…
Actually it's not a fictitious new man. When she asked Natsu to break up, when she said that she found someone she likes more, and that she loves the person more than him, she was referring to her unborn child. Umi.
She broke up with him after deciding that she wants to keep the baby, but didn't want to burden him.
I just realised that after I re-watched episode 1.
Isn't Umi is too mature? She is the one who pampering everyone. 🤦♀️
In general, I think Japanese and Korean children are more mature than their age compared to children in other countries -- not only in dramas but in actual reality.
I understand that in Japan, even 6-7 year old children (first grader in elementary school) are already going to school by themselves.
BTW, I've increased my own rating for this drama to 10/10. What a beautiful and heartwarming drama. Can't wait for the subbed version of episode 8 to be available!
For those who said that Yayoi is not a good person and skip her scenes:
Yayoi is a very good character.
(1) She has to face the reality that her current boyfriend suddenly has a 7-year-old daughter. Yet she is determined to stay with her boyfriend and wants to help in raising the daughter (who technically is not hers) together.
Some girlfriends might have just left their boyfriends if they found out that they already have a child from previous relationships.
(2) She was forced to abort her baby in the past due to pressure from her then-boyfriend and her mom. She regretted it and is still feeling guilty of "killing" her baby up until now.
Her regrets, which were written in the hospital's guest book, inspired Mizuki not to abort her baby, thus Umi was born.
Yayoi is a very good person, and I am rooting for her to be together with Natsu and raise Umi together at the end. I am sure that she will be a good wife and mother.
I don't get it. Why did some of u guys hate/dislike yayoi character? All I can see from the clips is that she…

Agreed, she should have told Natsu the truth from the beginning, maybe they could be raising their child together.…
Agree about how selfish Mizuki is. But I don't think everyone is angry at Natsu. Umi's grandmother appreciated that Natsu is willing to take care of Umi, she was surprised herself. You can see that Natsu can get along with Umi's grandmother and grandfather -- it's so heartwarming to see their "informal in-law" relationships (since Natsu and Mizuki are not officially married), especially when Natsu decided to move into their house during his one week break.
The only one who hates Natsu is Tsuno, but I somewhat understand why he was angry at him initially, after seeing all the flashbacks on his relationship with Mizuki and Umi (episode 7).
Overall, I think the story is written excellently and brilliantly. The storyline is unique, but it still flows naturally and beautifully.
I am at episode 6 now. So Yayoi's note in the hospital guest book regretting her decision to abort her baby was the reason why Mizuki decided to keep her baby -- that's why Umi was born.
Yayoi is Umi's saviour! Without Yayoi's note, Umi might not have been born since Mizuki might have continued with her abortion plan.
What an excellent and heartwarming story-writing. Kudos to the writer and director!
I am at episode 3 now. The crying scene at Natsu's place when Umi was doing her homework, made me cry. How could the little actress act so good and natural? She was still 6 when the drama was filmed. Rana, I am rooting for you!
Hats off also to Ren and Kasumi, who portray Natsu and Yayoi, as well as veteran actress Shinobu Otake who portrays Mrs Nagumo, Umi's grandmother. Their acting is phenomenal.
(Sorry for anyone who like Na Young, if there's any)

I would say both Joon Han and PO are second male leads without any male lead. Their screentime is much less than the two female leads.
