You are SO RIGHT! I think it’s because both the FL here and Soo Ah are unnecessarily aloof for no reason? Like they have no rizz, very little personality and are just boring. It’s like a lazy shortcut for creating a love interest is to choose a ‘mysterious’ pretty girl with unclear feelings or motivations. No interior life, nothing compelling about her. The new Manic Pixie Dreamgirl I guess.
