Fah is more involved into mess because she chose to abandon yotha to take faifah with her. Yotha was closest to his mother so he sees as betrayal but still he doesn't get upset with fah because he knows he is not at fault but he still feels he is not loved for his mother to choose him or take him too. That is main thing gun never runs to faifah with his problems in novel he talks to yotha himself and they take decision to stay away from each other. As good friend all kong does is exhange room with gun and faifah keeps door unlocked for yotha. There is no yotha or faifah face off Novel he understood yotha so well he knew exactly what yotha suffers from and like any good siblings he cares for yotha more than anyone just like yotha is protective of faifah against his mother. Novel he never speaks up for gun or fight with yotha for him .

So true i hate how him trying to mould faifah character in story of Yothagun he messed up yotha. In novel yotha gun talk to each other he is frank about his feelings and gun then decide to stay with faifah so he and yotha and give space to each other till yotha can commit. Faifah has no business in their love story except being roomate and friend to gun he was even supportive to both of them instead of choosing sides in novel. The way he used to tease them in novel. They changed whole thing. It was so good in novel literally feel like they sabotaged yotha to make faifah look good.

Yotha is doing what his character is. He was never green flag he was always complicated person even gun knew that. He has his faults but he still tries to mend things his way even when he doesn't know what his faults are. For you that kiss was unneccesary but for yotha who only know what love is through Warich He is doing what he has learnt in his past relationship he doesn't have best example of love in life nor parents, nor siblings , nor friends . For him kiss might tell whats real or not .
Just like Faifah is doing what his character is kissing up to other people .
