I like the 2 male leads here, but the story is a bit all over the place. First time seeing Zhang Ming En in a not serious, fooling-around role, still not used to it, but I hope he will get more serious later on. Is there romance here? who's the female lead?
Enjoying this drama a lot, very interesting and fast pace, every episode is full of actions, there's not a boring episode. I hope it will get subbed soon so more people can watch it. Johnny Huang is awesome in here. In the beginning the story seems complicated, but just keep watching, soon everything will fall into place and keep you wanting to watch more. I'm sad it's ending soon, hope they will make a season 2.
After 40 episodes, i can now say that I like the Korean version "Giant" much better than this Chinese version. Especially with the little sister, her romance with the evil guy's son was so much better in Giant (those 2 characters have a better chemistry in Giant). The 2 older brothers are ok here, but somehow I just can't get into this one as much as I did with Giant before. Maybe I will just drop this and go watch Giant again !
Time to drop this drama, I found this drama has so many female characters (included the lead female ) that are annoying and useless. In the novel, the lead female is smart and a badass, but the lead girl here is nothing close to it. I am half way through the novel, will finish the novel, but not this drama. The novel is intense and interesting, but the drama is going at the speed of a snail. For me, this drama is such a big disappointment. The novel is good and deserves a better adaptation. Hope someone will make a better adaptation with a stronger cast in the future.
Complicated story plots but very interesting and fast pace. Johnny Huang is such an eye candy to look at, also his acting has improved a lot here. I like the female cop that was assigned to be his bodyguard, don't think i have seen her before in other dramas. Anyone know her name?
after 24 episodes, not sure if I will continue,. The male lead is good, but the female lead's acting is too plain, she's not convincing enough and she shows no emotion. This is a beautiful novel with a strong heroine, I wish they had casted a better female lead. The cinematography is great but the plots is going very slow. The only thing that keeps me watching is the male lead, I liked him a lot in "Spy Hunter" which imo is a much better drama than this one.
i find all those early episodes a bit draggy, so I want to skip all episodes now and come back to watch when the 2 brothers recognize each other and start working together for their revenge. Anyone know around what episode will that happen?
Very interesting story, fast pace and full of suspense. Love the male lead, he's doing a awesome job. But the plot is a little complicated, with so many characters, I found it hard to follow, or maybe I am just too slow,,,lol,,.! Is there a female lead in this?
They mostly adapted it into a Shanghai in the Republican Era setting and context. The basic core of the characters,…
My favorite part of Giant was the romance between the little sister and the evil guy's son (the Du son here), but that romance is not happening in this adaptation. Instead, the Du son here likes Yang Mi's character and the emphasis will be on the triangle relationship between Yang mi/Wallace Huo/Du son. Don't like this change, kind of ruining it for me.
I read somewhere this is the re-make of the korean drama "Giant" It does seems to have the same basic story line but they changed many details. I liked "Giant" a lot, hope this one doesn't disappoint me..
I like the romance between the green snake and her guy better, they look cute together and have a better chemistry than the main couple, too bad they cant be together..
