Enjoying this drama so far, fast pace and interesting plots. Chen Xiao is awesome here, funny and likable, I think he's doing a better job than the female lead.
After 24 episodes, considering dropping this, the drama is so draggy, going on the pace of a snail. Also it deviate so much from the original "Investiture of the Gods" novel, I think they should've just created a new story instead of making a totally different story out of a classic novel.
The ending is very opened ending. It is obvious that ending person is not Chi Yu. It probably her soulmate that…
i also think that man at the end is not Chi Yu, but it's the man that Su Xi will eventually end up and marry. Earlier the Hall of Charts Master told Chi Yu that it's written on the chart that Su Xi will marry some one else, grow old and live a normal live.
so what was that ending? Don't know why chinese dramas writers love unclear, ambiguous endings???!!! So frustrating,, I feel like I've wasted 36 hours of my time. I found Korean drama writers are better on wrapping things up with a nice ending.
There are 2 thing about this drama that are bothering me -
1. The actress that plays Da ji doesn't have the look for the role, she's too average-looking. She's nowhere close to the gorgeous Da ji in the novel. 2. I really don't like how they make Jiang Ziya seems so lacking and dumb in this version.
Finally Zhao Min appears, how does everyone like her? I am disappointed, I think they should have picked someone else with both a better look and better acting skill for Zhao Min. Debating if i should continue or drop this dramal. Don't think both main leads have the look or the talent to carry this drama. The only actor i like is the guy that plays Yang Xiao, he really stole the show from the leads!
Really dislike Bing Bing (the short hair girl) now. She's after the golden eyes and turning more and more evil. At ep 31, she ordered her guys to kill everyone on the archaeological team except for Zhuang Rui. They almost kill Fei Fei ! I think she's just jealous of Fei Fei, but why order to have other members on the team hurted too? Hope she has a bad ending,,
I feel that "happy ending" was just her imagination. Noted how she said at the end in her next live she still want to meet him, then he just appears out of nowhere, made me think that was just inside her mind. Wish they will explain it,,
if there's romance I hope it's with the short haired girl, am I getting another f.sls?
That short haired girl is actually the main antagonist. She’s evil, she’s just using the male lead for her family’s plot to take over the antique world. She’s the mastermind behind many evil deeds that will happen later on.
need good spoiler to satisfy me.. cant seem to love it after watching ep 1 no interesting and the lady died :(…
yes that girl was supposed to be dead from the beginning, the whole drama is about her 2 brothers looking for her killer and seeking revenge for her. But you will see flashback of her story throughout the show. Give it a try, it's very good!
This drama turned out to be one of my favorite Cdrama. It's very well-made, fast pace and it keeps you interested, not boring or dragging at all. Also, the main good guys all survived and that's good enough for me :) !
I am dropping this after 20 episodes. The production fall short comparing to last year's "Legend of Dugu". The story is mediocre and the quality is so far behind "legend of Dugu". What a waste of 2 big cast leads!!
