I agree, Petch really did his best considering how bad the script got. Sangmin Choi unfortunately needed more acting classes and also a better script. This had the makings of a descent BL, until it didn’t.

Ning Jing and her ridiculous scoring. Giving all her team 97-100 scores and others who were much better 80-85. I don’t really care for scoring, but the teenagers are working so hard it’s just disgraceful because she’s made the lowest scores for really talented competitors but because of her greed to get a team through she purposely gave her team the highest scores when clearly no one agreed with her cause the other judges rarely gave the same scores as her but then when someone did too well who’s in a different group she did the opposite and gave really really low scores, again not the same score as the other judges. The production team should’ve really had to talk to her about fairness. It’s got to be the worst scoring I’ve ever seen in a show to be honest. A little deviance by two or three points is fine but you watch the show and you’ll see there’s a 15 point difference several times between her and the other judges Which is quite a lot considering some of the competitors had to write their own lyrics and design some of their own work.
But messy in such a good way haha. Watching the cast deliver their lines and then laugh at themselves is a bit of a stroke of pure genius from the director who I see is the third generation film company owner Xion. Letting the end of some of the scenes make it through the editing process is really pure genius because the cast you can tell can’t believe what they’re saying and find it funny themselves It does feel like they have created some of the script themselves on the go, which I think was pure brilliance.
As an actor myself there were so many cringe worthy moments, but if I was in that cast, I would’ve had the best time. One of the funniestly bad BL series out there but in my top 10 for sure lol keep up the great work Xion!
If anything, they should’ve stuck to Tagalog and Spanish only as the English acting wasn’t as competent. And by the way, there are musical numbers so be ready for them.

The acting alone was better than you state. And you don’t even mention the fact that it’s the first major production, where a cis gender male has been cast in a trans role because there are no willingly out trans actors in Korea. With a worldwide view that in itself deserves more than 3.5 stars.

Wow, your review is literally the dumbest review I’ve ever read. There are several acting nuances that you haven’t even commented on or mentioned because you’re so stuck up your own ass stop writing bullshit reviews you loser.
I call you dumb. Did you even notice that it’s the first time they had cast a male in a trans role in a Korean production because there are no trans actors in Korea. That alone deserves recognition, but you’ve just completely ignored that and called them dumb look in the mirror.
Are you even qualified to make that kind of statement. Did you realize that it’s the first time a male actor has portrayed a trans role because there are no trans actors in Korea. That in itself is a monumental moment. Do your research.
Did you even notice that Korea has no transgender actors and had to find someone to play that role. And that actor was brilliant and you didn’t even mention that.
Wow ep 2 was really sad. I’ve ner had an audition like that. Judge Choi really needs to have a think about his words and actions. iQIYI have been deleting comments on the app since it aired. An apology or explanation must be coming. Sun Yin Hao’s courage and support was astounding.
