From the start of the WRTW novel, both HFX & BFX knew each other's real identities. It was like, both of them knew everything about each other's past, present, future intentions and that no one can understand HFX better than BFX and vice versa. I could feel the angst while reading the novel even though there were not many fluffy cliches.
I can understand why few romantic scenes like the firecracker scene. etc were a part of the drama. It's easy for the viewers to get frustrated without them. The angsty was required for readers to be hooked on the novel whereas, romance development btw the leads needs to be shown in the drama considering how amazing the CP is.
