I assume you already are - but just in case you’re not - WATCH My School President! 😂🤩
I don't think that's what he meant though. I think he meant he wants the story which specifically makes Li Ming and Heart to be the main leads and the centre of story in a separate series.

He doesn't refers to the actors who play Li Ming and Hearth to play as different characters in other series.

I agree with you about ill-placed sex scenes in American shows. They get on my nerves especially we're in the…
Yes, it is realistic. I won't argue with that. But I just feel like there's something off. I am fully aware that the theme of this series is "adult", but it doesn't have to be equated with "adult rated scene".
Especially, we are talking about having sex with a rather drunken stranger.

Moreover, the fact that they had one night stand at that time, so far, has no meaningful impact in the later episode. There's no one talking about that anymore. Perhaps even if we delete that scene, the story line won't change much. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like the sexual intercourse scene is more like an attention grabber/fan service rather than a representation of homosexual night life.

I 've got many gay friends here in the UK, but none of them has ever done "that" with a complete stranger.
I am really sorry if I may sound offensive in any way. But yeah , this is just my honest review of the series. Nothing goes against the actors or specific individuals. This is just about the story.

Hook up culture is real everywhere. It's common in American Movies/Shows because it is just part of life and with…
I have nothing against sensual scenes tbh, after all maybe it's just an important piece to make the characters feels realistic, but sometimes I don't feel like they put it in the right time.

I've watched many american movies that I feel only care to attract views by exploiting viewers "sensual desire" rather than providing immaculate story line tbh. So yeah, I have become more skeptical ever since with any romance drama that shows sexual intercourse scene within the first 10 minutes or literally the first episode. Not all of them turned out to be bad though, some were really well executioned. But yeah, it just makes me more skeptical in the story development of the next episode.

As for the love triangle itself. Well, it's real and we all know that, but it's just not my favourite trope. Maybe I am bias to expect this, but I just want something different with BL stories.

the stuff you don't like was kind of written on the tin so to speak, I'm surprised you picked it up
Yeah, I thought so too considering how long thai drama usually is. But honestly I don't regret it at all to watch this series since I can finally find the story of a disabled person, although they are just a side couple.

Ah... okay. Thanks for the explanation. Tbh I only knew about this like a week ago or so and yeah right after reading the synopsis I immediately jump in to watch the series. Don't get me wrong, I still really appreciate the series with it's magical cinematography and high quality acting, but it wasn't 100% similar to what I expected from the synopsis. I just thought that maybe they would use similar approach as in, for example, "What did you eat yesterday" considering the title and synopsis also refer to food themed film. I mean, I just love how this Japanese BL or rather adult gay series handled and conveys so many adult related issues in homosexual relationship with a light weighted approach and not too many unnecessary "steamy scene". I think the first episode of moonlight chicken, for me personally, would be better if the "sex scene" appear later in the series, after they better know each other. I'm not gonna lie the idea of having a sexual intercourse with a rather drunken stranger somewhat gives me goosebumps. But, yeah once again, this is just my personal opinion. Other people might see it and enjoy it in a different way than I do.

Not necessarily if you only read the synopsis as I did. Let me be honest, when I compare the synopsis and the actual story it's somewhat giving me different idea of how the story will go since the synopsis just giving you less information about the main plot itself. Is it bad? No, it's still appropriate and acceptable to prevent any spoilers before watching the series itself.

I can only tell what's gonna happen after watching the first episode.

This is just my personal opinion but here's what I like and I don't like.

What I like :
1. The cinematography is catchy, the colour is vibrant and the illuminating light from lanterns in the night gives a cozy and warm vibes
2. The acting is nailed nicely by all actors.
3. The story between Li Ming and Heart feels so innocent and pure. It's also unique since it tells the love story of a disabled person, which is so rare to find.

What I don't like :
1. The "adult X rated scene" in literally the first episode. Just reminds me of how common american movie usually starts with abrupt s*x scenes out of nowhere. Not all of them though, but "many" of them did.
2. The typical love triangle or quadrangle seems somewhat makes me less interested in following the story of the main couples. I mean, out of limitless issue to portrays, why it has to be love triangle (again), which has already been overused in so many dramas in all genres

So yeah, I think I'm gonna continue to watch this series just to follow the story of Li Ming and Heart.
I'm aware that people might have different opinion than me and it's perfectly fine. After all, each person has their own "preference" of what they like and not.
