Thing is I didn't live through the sixties but my uncles did, two of them evolving in these circles so even tho I didn't get to see them in their hippie days I grew up listening to artists and bands of that time, seeing them in pictures and on k7 if not on vynils covers and I'll believe these references more because they're the ones I know. I don't know where you lived, the style of the people around you nor the artists who caught may have caught your attention but this looks on Mile spoke to my uncles when I've shown them the trailer and a few pictures so for Tanwa I'll just give Led Zeppelin and Eddie Van Halen as examples to make it short (not so short for my answer) and because it is fitting not only for the hairstyle but also for the clothing too if we add Jimi Hendrix to this second point.
