Title Kantaro: The Sweet Tooth Salaryman
I loved this show, but I'm confused about one point. If his name is Ametani Kantaro, that means his last name is Ametani, right? And in Japanese culture, people rarely use first names unless they are quite close, right? But everyone in the show calls him "Kantaro-kun" or "Kantaro-san" which seems odd if my first two points are right. Can anyone tell me where my thinking has gone wrong?
