Sarah Kim single-handedly did the production, design, marketing, human resources, event planning, public relations, investment management and sales for her brand. That is impressive as HELL. Let's be real, she was destined to be a self made multi-millionaire if she wasn't born to shit circumstances.

Why did Sarah Kim initially want to save Mi-jeong but decide not to after she saw her ex-husband? Not sure if I see the correlation. Any interpretations?

I think she is an orphan or illegal immigrant in korea whatever she does not have a korean resident number something…
Exactly, which is why they cut to her in front of the Boudoir logos when the detective asked her what her name was.

Am I the only one that didn’t recognize the FL? Something about the shape of her face. She looks different but…
In the trailers I noticed that her face looks sharper and her jaw looks more pronounced compared to the past. I guess it's a part of aging (losing fat in your face), but she looks pretty good ngl. Plus the heavy makeup and styling in some scenes made her almost unrecognizable lol.

The director Kim Jin Min fumbled so bad with Goodbye Earth on his otherwise perfect track record of Netflix dramas. Hopefully that was an outlier and this ends up being good!

I somewhat agree with the top 3, since I do think they are the most versatile actresses in their 30s with stable acting ability. There are objectively more established veteran actresses but they mostly have a fixed image at this point of their careers.

I also didn't expect Shin Hye Sun to be this popular on MDL to top the list. I thought she has always been more of a domestic star.

The rest of the list though, contains some... questionable names.

I noticed a clever and effective use of foreshadowing and contrast. At the start of ep 1, in their dating phase (and career beginnings), Eunho repeatedly asked HyunO if he would pick the 9pm news over her. He appeased her by saying he would always choose her, and in return she said she would always be rooting for him.

Several years on, when HyunO actually gave up his 9pm slot to keep Eunho's 12pm slot, it shows that he actually meant what he said and his love for her was still there. However, this now sets off a furious reaction from Eunho, she berates him and tells him to take revenge on her instead, and then breaks down crying in the lift after. The reasoning behind her reaction is revealed in her diary in episode 8; she has almost no self-esteem at this point and thinks she is "not someone worth his 9pm slot". She is also upset that she is "holding him back" from achieving his dreams. This also reinforces what she said back then -- that she was always rooting for him, even if they weren't a couple anymore.

Pretty sure they have been other such instances that flew over my head.

The 3 main leads are all similar in that they are victims of family trauma, which essentially made them emotionally dysfunctional adults that appear to be normal on the surface. Parts of the story isn't very grounded in reality, but I think it's quite a thought-provoking character study on how a traumatic background affects your views in life, behavioral and relationship patterns, and issues in expressing/receiving love.

However, the DID plot kind of faded into the background for the past 2 episodes and we're already halfway through the show. How is it going to wrap up in 6 episodes? Maybe this show has a bit too much on its plate.

at least this person tried to read more articles rather than calling him names but I think you missed the details…
Okay but are you sure this particular blog is a reliable source? Because it looks more like a celebrity gossip page to me. Actually I did see some similar details on korean forums but I didn't share them because there were no sources, and they don't seem to be proven (unless a credible source states that she admitted to this. I believe they're the claims of LJW).

97% of accusations of rape are true. Unfortunately korea is not a first world country. There are so many public…
Even if those statistics hold true, there's still a need to know the context of a specific case and maintain some reasoning before fully judging the person in question. At least I came to be a little more sensitive about these things after a certain celebrity committed s****de recently (and frankly I, too, believed all the gossip about him before it happened).

Okay, I got tired of reading so many conflicting stories of this case with LJW here and all over soc med, so I dug up korean articles from years ago to judge for myself on wtf happened. I came to the conclusion that it wasn't black and white, and there kinda were shady parts from both parties. I'm posting my sources in a reply below as there are many more details. If anyone's more well-versed on this case, please enlighten me.

So in 2016, A accused LJW of r4ping her at her house, the night after having dinner with him and another acquaintance. She submitted evidence that later included photos of injuries on her body. DNA tests showed that the int3rcourse happened. LJW claimed it was consensual ("it just progressed naturally"), and that they were "seeing each other with good feelings" but not dating. He then counter-sued her for making false accusations.

LJW later submitted Kakaotalk screen captures of their conversations, that showed that she sent him a friendly message recommending/asking to eat at a restaurant, the morning AFTER the alleged assault. Forensic analysis showed A's injuries didn't seem to match what she reported had happened and suggested they were likely self-inflicted. On the other hand though, there wasn't a clear motive for her to falsely accuse him. She didn't do it to extort money from him as she would have went to his agency first.

A later confessed to falsely accusing him and "there was no coercion" that happened, LJW was cleared of charges. This was a few days after A's attorney had resigned as her legal representative due to "the discovery of new facts, differences of opinion on how to respond to the investigation, and the resulting serious damage to trust". But she later claimed that she was actually coerced into confessing by the police and was really a victim. A year later, she was declared not guilty, and LJW appealed this verdict. In 2018, the verdict was overturned and she was sentenced to 8 months of jail.

However, the 2nd trial in 2018 mentioned A did not give consent and LJW also admitted he did NOT receive it. The court also implied that LJW not using coercive means and his body showing no signs of resistance from her side, meant it was not considered as r4pe. I think these are horrible laws that assume a certain level of violence/resistance is needed to count as r4pe, and the lack of consent part is definitely suspicious (though i guess there are also certain ambiguities in this).

One thing is that a lot of the hoo-ha about him on twitter is only backed by translations of parts of the case (from a kpop website). But there's also a need to be objective. I am strongly against SA so I always give him and other shady celebs the side eye, but I'm also not going to pretend to know exactly what happened and call him names. Ofc at the same time, I won't defend or support him at all.
