The ending is a bit controversial because the main characters end up together with a very large age gap, something like 15 years or so. You don't see this explicitly but it is implied in the ending during credit roll. This is inevitable due to the time travelling aspect of the show.

Hiya! 1. They're a couple from episode one, but they "find each other" again in like episode 10 of 13 or so. 2. There are many misunderstandings due to the time travel aspect of the show. There is no typical break up arc. There are (large) parts of the show where they aren't a couple, though. 3. I'd consider it a happy ending, but others might not be content with it.
Give this drama a shot!!! I crammed out my old MAL login details just to give this a 10/10. I bawled my eyes out, which doesn't happen a whole lot. I felt that binge-watching multiple episodes in a row got me more invested emotionally, but in hindsight I also regret not having taken my time watching this, since I wasn't able to process the storyline as thoroughly as I could have.
