Is this the way for a married couple to live in a city in modern times?
Why are Chinese family dramas always so lacking in any sort of warmth?
If this is how life is supposed to be in a city, boy am I glad I was born away from it. I can never live in one of them closed stuffy apartments with car and people running below. It is suffocating. Same for the people. Busy. Chasing shadows.

This is one infuriating story. You can sugercoat it with fancy metaphors and imageries and drama all you want but ultimately this story is all about lack of proper communication, people being oversensitive which, is a trend in J drama and overreactions. That is all and I seriously dont have time for it.

But of course the writer has to overestimate her own ability and turn an already overly dramatic plot into the ridiculous. The device she uses? Watch the latest episodes and figure it out for yourself.

A hint. Its the most overused and and over dramatic drama trope of all time.

P.S. - The 75% from my previous comment can be hiked to 80% now.

What a waste of acting and directing talents.

This is a prime example of how a meticulous presentation can turn a ten dollar picture into a million dollar one. If you sit and think about it you will realize that the plot is nothing unique, you can run any daily Korean soap from the last twenty years and 75% of them have a similar plotline to this one.

The difference here is, one, acting and two, directing. That is all.

The absolute sincere and immersing acting, especially from the leads is not rare in Chinese TV but is very difficult to find on this scale.

The manner in which the conversations flow and scenes are presented is absolutely masterful. The infamous disjointed editing and robotic dialogues and their delivery that always seem to hamper Chinese and Hong Kong television has not happened here yet. Fingers crossed it remains the same.

Are you blind or can you not see that it says it’s adapted from a Korean webtoon?
HELLO?? It didn't even occur to me to check your watchlist. And, why do I need to make a watchlist anyway? It's ten years long and I don't have time

Weird anime, terrifying webtoon, fast zombie, slow zombie.

Obviously I'm talking to a kid here. I should have realized that no mature person calls a stranger blind. My bad.
So if you want we can continue this pointless air jabbing or, you could stop replying and we can both move on.

OMG, the corridor scene where he is crying, sobbing without breath, begging for apology to TJ for her suffering…
I can not agree more about the 'dud' face. Its a 'dead' face that one.

Are you naive or are you stupid that you don't realize where the webtoon took it's material from.
Don't disrespect random people at random places, it's not your little home.

This writer only writes business stories which is fine by me but, either she does not have much experience in romance or she is compelled to write 'independent' female characters and sacrifice the main benefit of being in a romantic relationship which is dependence. There is a thin line between being independent and being obnoxious.

Anyway because I have seen both her other dramas I know the style and I know it would get real stale real fast. I was not disappointed for while in ''Entrepreneurial Age ''I got to half of the episodes before i dropped it and in ''Something Just Like This'' I dropped it after the first first thirty episodes, here, I barely got to fifteen. The reason might be a mixture of my dislike of sales as a profession and my previous encounters with this writer.

That being said , even at the early stages the fact that this drama has better acting than both her other stories was evident and it is a real shame that the story is this one and not one which focuses on characters rather than on business dealings and cheap gimmicks.

Watch it if you are one of those who likes joyless unrealistic business dealings and selfish ruthless human beings.

I think that this drama's main couple is probably the closest you will get to a realistic romance versus the unbelievable…
I agree. And she does have those little moments where shows little bits and pieces. Surely that's not enough for a mostly young crowd is it? And you can't expect them to get relationships based on companionship.

That being said my problem with this is the lack of actual meaningful conversations between the leads.Their whole dynamic and it's presentation to the audience is very vague with lots of things being implied. That works if it is a fifty episode drama but there is not enough room to maneuver in a thirty three episode drama.
And that is really a shame since these two could definitely pull that off.

Just because a man or a woman is willing to come close to you does not mean you can abuse that person emotionally or use him or her as a sandbag. It's a person, not a dump for your emotional baggage.
I know where this is heading. I have seen all this before.

Title The Lion's Secret Spoiler
Though it was just me...im starting to feel a bit frustrated with them too but yeah still intrigued enough to…
I don't know if you've watched To Love To Heal or not but it has a similar type of story. In that one the FL opened up towards the very end. That's what I am afraid of here since there is still so much to uncover here and the lead and his two friends have a pretty interesting story themselves.

As I watched the first few episodes and then continued to watch more I wondered why the story flow and the characterization seem so familiar to two other dramas, To Love To Heal and Memories of Love.
Well, turns out its the same screenwriter. Ha, figures why I find myself so frustrated and yet intrigued at the same time. Just hope that the dynamic would not stretch my patience as thin as it did in almost all his stories so far ( look at his list and you will understand what I mean).

It's very rare that you find a crime story where the romantic subplot is not a forced one. Here, it acts as a constant reminder that the younger one can yet be saved from total darkness. I really liked that.

As for the main plot line, personally, I am always going to choose the safety of my family over everything else and I know that some writers have this utopian idea of a state ruled by law and order, so I was sceptical about how the balance of the two ideals of the two brothers would pan out. I am delighted to find out that question is left unanswered and the writer didn't try to feed us his own idea of what a man's belief should be.

I did find some of the performances a bit weak though. But the ones that mattered did their job well enough.
(A confession- I have never seen the actress playing Preecha before and I fell for her instantly 😂 . That hasn't happened before.)

I like the opening song. It plays perfectly to the theme of the story. I also like the love theme in this one.

Overall, if you're looking for that rare crime drama with a heart, try this one.

This is a story of the fallout from a case of brutal domestic abuse.First, the intense scene which is the catalyst…

I find it quite amusing and ironic that what you call a tool of 'misogynist patriarchy' should be written by a woman.
I agree with your views though.
