One of BOC’s best decisions to have Vegas actually care about Pete’s consent. It made him much more likeable.
Also that's the main distinction about the novel and series vegas from what I heard. In the novel vegas doesn't primarily care about Pete's needs or satisfaction but in the series he showed consideration from the start
When Vegas started seducing(?) Pete but stopped suddenly, Pete was so surprised. He must have thought Vegas was gonna have his way with him without his consent. But he didn't.
Also I don't think so Vegas expected Pete to actually give in and kiss him.

Vegaspete's relationship and how they went from wanting to kill each other to being ready to kill for each other in just 2 episodes always amazes me but makes me sad too at the same time. Like tato said so many small moments must have happened which helped in developing of their feelings towards each other. But unfortunately we'll just have to imagine them :(
