U all ever think what would have happened if Kan didn't turn up that day while Vegas was cooking for Pete? Why do I think it would have led to even more angst. Like just before that scene we saw pete questioning himself about his choices. He had 2 options, either to leave like he did or to stay. But I think pete wouldn't have been be able to leave after he saw how happy Vegas was. How much he was trying for him. He would have stayed and kept quiet before at a point all his uncertainties and insecurities bursted out, in an ugly way.
