Final review: Story: 7/10 There were quite a few loose ends that weren't tied up...but that's to be expected when they introduce time travel... Main Romance: 3/10 (didn't really feel the connection...sue me) Woo Do Hwan: 100/10
It was absolutely ridiculous. I'm not sure I should spoil it since it comes completely by surprise and it would ruin the effect... However, I'll just say it involves weird costumes lmaooo
Thoughts of Ep. 9-10: 1. Eun Sub having to cut his hair was PRICELESS lmaooo 2. Eun Sub's sister is hilarious. She deserves to be in the royal guards haha 3. I don't really even get what the uncle's long term plan is. He is enemies with the royal court and probably wants to kill them all. But then what? He also wants to get the other half of that magic flute thing but what is his master plan after all that? The entire public knows he's the traitor. It's not like he can stay in the Kingdom...we'll just have to see where it goes... 4. Not the crown prince!!!! He was such a sweetie!! He always got misunderstood but he never lost loyalty to the king :( 5. The romance is STILL not hitting it. As a commenter from my last week's post said, their chemistry off-screen is great! However, on-screen....I skip through it. I feel nothing.
Thoughts on Ep 8: 1. This show has gotten SO much better since the beginning!! Lee Gon taking WDH to the other world was probably the best thing to ever happen to this show!! Adding scenes where WDH is being a total badass is the greatest thing in existence! AND THE IMPROV SKILLS ARE HILARIOUS! 2. I still do not support the main "romance." I feel nothing from them. No chemistry. Nothing. The show is pretty great without the romantic scenes in it. I think I ended up skipping them. 3. DOES THIS MEAN SHIN JAE IS FROM COREA?!?!?!?! HOW DID HE GET TO KOREA??? I can't wait another week to know :( 4. Since the actual plot is picking up, the entire show seemed to. Since it's not just about the FL anymore. We got all SORTS of things happening :D I wasn't too sure about this show in the beginning but it's turned itself around this week. I hope they don't ruin it :)
I LOVED when he was alone and doing his thing. He had a nice little system going on. Then Gyuri had to come in and ruin everything. When you think back on it, everything that went wrong started from her taking his phone that first time. Just a huge snowball effect. I'm not saying that Gyuri was a bad character, she was quite the opposite. I liked her at times since she was the one to have a backbone in the "business" and got things done. However, 90% of the time she seemed like a privileged brat. Oh...mommy and daddy don't pay enough attention to you? They want you to succeed in life? What about Jisoo? He doesn't even have parents or the one parent he does have stole his entire savings! He literally was doing these crimes JUST TO GO TO SCHOOL! Then Gyuri was trying to "grow" his business. Girl....you don't even know how that business works! You don't know anything! Jisoo was right. It was just a game to Gyuri and she frustrated the hell out of me. Sorry for my rant, but I feel so much better after getting that out.
Thoughts of ep 5: 1.) WDH must be super strong or something since he's carrying this whole show on his back lmao 2.) When is the uncle going to do anything???? 3.) Girl.....no matter HOW many places you go to in the parallel universe NO ONE KNOWS YOU 4.) That kiss was unnecessary and I still feel no connection between them. Poor writing, man... 5.) At least the FL is finally getting it through her thick skull that he is in fact a king of in fact a parallel universe....even with proof all around her she's still skeptical....
I need more!!
