You forgot to add we held him accountable. He apologized 2 times in a video. He was educated and let himself to be educated. As I queer person I forgave him, since he seemed truly regretted it and I haven’t seen any slightly homophobic behavior so far from him. And being straight isn’t a sin. But I don’t blame the lgbtq+ people who didn’t. Just because we don’t scream about he said questionable things (what even might be mistranslation according to some turkish fans) it doesn’t mean we forgot it.
