I feel obligated to talk about how hot Zhang Linghe looks in his armour - like this guy really looks godly whenever he is suited up for war. Whoever casted him as Xie Zheng - I wish that he/she is sleeping on a cold pillow every night 😍

I am actually looking forward to Ziyi as Shen Miao - as a novel fan I know this role is hard to cast because we need an actress that can portray the bitterness and deep pain of her previous life as an empress and balance it with a young and naive looking girl of her present self. After seeing the styling I actually see Shen Miao in her and I’ve seen enough of her acting in Blossom to be convinced of her work. I had hoped for someone younger for Xie Jingxing - Dylan seemed too old for this but I guess I’d see how the reuters look and hope they do as much as they can to capture the essence of his role and the rest of the story
