Title The Eclipse
Now let me remind you guys something: The eclipse is a CHARACTER DRIVEN drama, and not a PLOT DRIVEN narrative. Now, that's not everyone's cup of tea (even I wish the plot was better executed), but for what it is: Its a great show with amazing representation of sexuality and mental health.

I love the scenes between Akk and Ayan, and a lot of the time it doesn't use the same annoying tropes as other bls (although tropes are used thats OK it just matters how well a show executes them!)and they aren't a toxic relationship. You can see how they progressed over time, and it feels real and natural. I get how people were mad that Akk wasn't accepting Ayan right away, but think about how Akk feels. He's conflicted. He's been put under preassure and taught one thing his whole life. And if I was in Akk's position: I might of done the same thing. A country boy needing a scholarship? Yeah, people are ignoring (also the show doesn't seem to be bringing this up) the fact that Akk might not be able to afford College, or he can but the scholarship will save his family a lot of money. Its about upsetting the people around you, or going for what you really want. And in Akks case, thats Ayan.

Of course it took him some time! But as we see in episode 9, Akk has no intention of backing down from Ayan. I believe that he just needed time, like in literally every relationship

And honestly, Kan x Thua is just amazing XD but I feel like there are too little scenes between them. Since, y'know, there is plot and Akk and Ayan and other shit. They gotta squeeze a lot into these episodes lol.

Also, why aren't people talking more about Ayan's depression? Because its a real thing, and I love how Akk is what grounds Ayan. And its the same the other way around. Ayan is struggling with his uncles death, and Akk is what makes him happy.

The curse, the school, Chad-bitch, all of it is symbolism of authoritarian rule and the STORY is actually about Akk and Ayan finding each other and yada yada. Its about Wat doing what he truly loves. Its about challenging the status quo. It's about Kan fighting internalized and real homophobia to be with Thua.

Every show has its flaws (the protesters are kinda lame and annoying lmao teens be teens), but for what it is, and the message the eclipse its trying to convey, I think they've been doing a pretty good darn job of it. Its not the best. Scenes are choppy and you can tell the budget is hanging on a thin wire, but they've been making due of what they have. And I'm here for it!

See you guys episode 13 :D
