The news has been around for months though and they must have known since he wasn't even filmed for the variety show! I checked his weibo it was still "banned" at the time but if you look now the "banned" message is gone. I really hope his career recovers but yeah like @ChunTian I don't feel hopeful given Bai Lu has 2 other unreleased dramas previously years ago in limbo - they are capable of not releasing shows it seems. 😔
Hard to explain as I'm not 100% sure but he did a silent protest on Weibo against the government with a photo of a piece of white paper...another celebrity did it too I think both got muted.
When I put his name on google/weibo takes me there and the previous message of him being "banned" or muted is gone. That message was there for months though. I don't have a weibo account though.

Haha I was wondering if Bailu had some reason to visit BFTB set - there was someone saying their sets were filmed close together and that BL went to view the kissing scenes there - so makes sense if she already knew the ML quite well!

Trivia for those watching BFTB - related to Bailu - I only found out Neo the ML worked on a drama with Bailu years ago but it was never released 🤷♀️ couldn't find out why either.

3rd ML Zhou Jun Wei was muted on weibo for posting something against the government. His weibo seems fine now but....people probably complained and that's it.
