Not a bad film...
It's just not great either. In very basic terms, humanity finds a super amazing energy source but it is slightly unstable. An alien mothership arrives and attacks various places on earth. Shanghai has a huge amount of the energy source underground which gives the city power. The mothership begins attacking Shanghai. A group of 4 friends who were all trained as pilots/soldiers fight for their city. The action and special effects are well done, the acting is really good but there is just something missing for me. Oh and it is super soppy, lots of long glances, pregnant pauses and being upset because someone we cared about died and we didn't get the chance to tell them we cared for them even though we had hundreds of chances! Yeah, that was the most annoying thing about this film, apart from the fact someone who should have been dead at the end wasn't. Not a bad film, I would watch it again but I wouldn't choose to buy it.Was this review helpful to you?

Long Meet-Cute
A very short film (13 minutes) about a young woman that travels to the Chinese countryside. A very short film (13 minutes) about a young woman that travels to the Chinese countryside. It's kind of a long meet-cute. It is a sweet little film but I feel like it's part of a tourism campaign that doesn't quite work as a film. At the end, it says it is based on a true story which is great but I feel that this story could definitely have been made into a full-length feature & it would have had much more of an impact on me.Was this review helpful to you?

Athletic K-Pop Stars
This was the first time I watched Idol Star Athletics & I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy this show but it is so much fun! I recommend watching this even if you don't like sports or you don't know all of the acts. It is really exciting & gives you a good feeling. Some of the idols are pretty amazing at their chosen sports & there are some really close contests & even though I didn't know certain people I was cheering for them... Fighting! My personal highlights are the Futsal, Archery, High Jump & Relay!Was this review helpful to you?

Cuteness Alert
This is such a sweet comedy drama with a stunning lead couple & the rest of the cast were great too. The first few episodes are a bit wacky with some OTT fight scenes but once you get used to that you get totally involved in these characters stories. This is an extreme slow burn (with no actual kiss scene) but the cuteness of the male lead & interest in the sub-plots kept me watching & I would happily rewatch when looking for something light, romantic & fun. I also think it has a positive, inspiring message 👍🏻One star purely for Ji Chang-wook 🥰
