She's barely there and barely does anything. I could honestly forget that she is part of the show there's already three potential antagonists that get way more screentime.

I just like the complexity of his character. He's supposed to be a bit off-putting but apparently some ppl are taking it too far.

Yeah and i actually really like the actor, but he and middle school Kiho seem like completely different people. It feels like they have a completely different frame of reference for his character. At one point it seemed like Bogeol and the older brother switched dialogue just because it was convenient for the storyline. We all knew that Bogeol was going to be the ML, but it felt like it was just because he's a more veteran actor, and not for any organic reason. Stale and predictable but the child actors have my whole heart ❤️

Okay but how did the half brother break the glass cup like that? Does he practice opening jars for fun? He has the grip strength of a newborn.

There's already a kiss in the third episode so i raised the point by one. Also the acting (of the Korean actors) is really great. The half brother is scaring me, and they're doing a lot of show don't tell with the grandpa and their relationship. Good writing, good pacing of the ship 👏

Unpopular opinion but...i dropped it. I don't think that it was a good idea to focus on the other brother for so long. Don't get me wrong i didn't have SLS, but i had a hard time connecting with and rooting for the main ship when they kinda threw them together at the very end. Plus I was prepared for the main plot to be more about her career and that took a bit of a backseat. And redacted hiding his identity makes no sense because if he had just told her from the beginning she never would have televised that she was looking for him. You can kind of tell that they wrote it as they filmed.

But ive actually been avoiding the FL because of how traumatic that drama was 😭

I knew that their dad was abusive but he's clearly a psychopath. Also i guess this was a you take one kid and I'll take the other kind of situation. And with all the new clues the only edge that Woo hak has is that he wears glasses (contacts exist and he may need them because of his accident) regardless i think its going to become a "found family" type of situation and she's not going to "end up" with either of them.

Because it has the same writer and an unclear ML. I really liked the Start-up though.

I never thought of her as being childish, just less "realistic" than a normal adult. Its interesting how her lack of development due to being stranded is central to the plot but it went over some people's heads.

The south Korean content rating is 15+ which is like the American equivalent of TV-14 or TV-16. Plus if you look at the disclaimer, it says it's because of child abuse and language. The rating is most likely different in other countries, and i learned that this is because in Netflix-US, if one episode is considered TV-MA, then it changes the rating for the whole series.

I agree +adding a love line is a common thing to do to attract more viewers, without making it central to the plot.

Personally i don't think WK is KH because i see a significant difference in their personalities as well. My first impression of WK was...kind of a loser. While K was quiet but quick to take action/resourceful, he was never just a bystander. The fact that his first instinct upon seeing a castaway in the drone camera was to fly it away from her rather than trying to help her seemed out of character for K.

TBH i was expecting the plot to be like deluded/naive fangirl gets stranded on an island, not victim of abuse gets stranded on an island. It's a good story but it feels like she got kicked while she was already down, instead of it being just a quirky dramady. Also the show is definitely not TV MA. Netflix needs to work on their rating system.

Agree to disagree ig. I just felt that it was a bit unnecessary. Nothing would have changed if they were both sober.

When a person is so drunk that they can't walk down the street, and the other person is coherent, if the sober person initiates intimacy, it is categorized as assault. A person under the influence cannot consent to a sober person's advances. The fact that she didn't remember the next morning, means that she was in a vulnerable position.

Yeah i think that they changed his character a bit. He and the ML are basically best friends in this version but in the webtoon they weren't as close. Hes also clearly parent trapping them. I think he's going to be more of an antihero with potential.
