Sooyoung is phenomenal in Run On. I wished she was the FL (and I liked the actual FL character a lot). It's very different to this one, and I feel like she really demonstrates a strong ability to inhabit different types of characters well. Her cameo in Move to Heaven was also wonderful.

They just play off each other so well. Gyeo-re's jaw dropping like a lead anchor was the cherry on top of Yeon-ju's delivery and wink. I burst out laughing. She's right, he's a cutie pie!
It's available on Viki in my region (Europe), but I hear from US-based friends that it doesn't seem to be in their "Coming Soon" list. So it may be available on Viki based upon region, unfortunately.
I never expected this drama to be more then some fluffy fun, but the first of round noble idiocy (I can't believe I have to enumerate the noble idiocy in this drama) knocked the spun-sugar story down and from there it seemed to just unravel all the way back to an early 2000 drama. How disappointing - especially with a such a cast. Hoping for much better next time around for Kim Ji-suk and Jung So-min.

So much impact indeed! I was so mad during the first half that I almost FF through parts. But, wow, was the ending a 180, what a punch it packs! And all in 30 minutes. I'm so glad I stuck with this drama. It's a gem.
I can't believe this drama is only at an 8 rating, though it did have a bit of a slow start. Just finished ep 9, and don't know how I'll wait for Monday. I'm laughing so much, but I'm also so incredibly touched. What a lovely ensemble this drama has.

There is definitely a kind of "old-fashioned-ness" to the average rom-com. I think most generally require acceptance of a super simply story and an above average level of disbelief suspension to be truly enjoyed. They're not meant to make a statement or be "real" - their sole purpose is to essentially sell a fantasy.
Oh! Master's problem is that the deviated from this and threw every known and imaginable inane trope at the story to see what would stick. If they'd kept the story light and fluffy (like it started out), it would have been an enjoyable, if broadly forgettable, watch. Based on the preview, it looks like ep 2 of Anti-Fan will get us properly set up into a very basic plotline and kicked off without overcomplicating. Assuming it just sticks with its simplicity, the worst it will do is give us a toothache from the sweet overload.
Why on earth is this getting a second season and why did Ha Ji Won agree to a project like this ?
This is literally the only question I am asking myself about this project. Why on earth would she do something like this?! And also: what episode is she appearing so I can watch only that one.
The cast is solid, and that's why I stayed. The story had potential, but it needed to be tighter (and this could have been 12 episodes easily). Wasn't crazy about Jang Hyuk's character (I find the broody, tortured and scared anti-hero a little stale + what was with his maniacal laugh in the beginning?!), but was impressed with Sooyoung and really liked the development of Jin Seo-yun's character. It was a little gory for me at times, so some FF was done at parts. But overall a decent pass-time watch when you need something that doesn't require too much investment.

I always get the feeling that Ah-reum cares about Derek and is fond of him, but that she's never actually really loved him. In Derek, she found (or she thought she did) dependability and reliability - things she dearly wanted from her marriage with Ji-hun. So to me, it feels like she married Ji-hun because she was deeply in love with him (and, frankly, may still be), but she married Derek because she wanted things in a marriage that she didn't get before and wanted. I don't know if that makes sense - or if that's even what the story is trying to say - but that's how it feels to me.
