Finally we have a good episode, with action, suspense, and without long & useless scenes. I like this drama, but…
I agree that Max is shining in the role of Tan but I think Tul is doing a pretty good job, too. Up until now, it’s the character of Bun that’s been awkward, not the actor. The character Tul has created is complex. On the one hand, he’s gauche and easily embarrassed but he’s also doggedly persistent and courageous. He behaves consistently and his development, or rather our understanding of him, is growing out of the situations he finds himself in. I’d say that’s pretty good acting.
So many things went wrong in this series. Its a bad idea to add so many secondary pairs unnecessarily when fans…
I know these times are tough but this kind of speculation and gossip does no one any good. Try watching something that gives you a more positive outlook. You’ll feel better.
If we will going to watch and analyze this season closely, we will be able to see that the biggest conflict here…
Thank you for this. I think you’ve got it right. I was bothered by the scenes of seemingly gratuitous sex in the first few episodes but I’m beginning to appreciate that they weren’t just fan service. I hope the series will continue to untangle these threads you identified and reveal how a mature love can overcome the very real, if mundane, threats facing it.
i dont think we can really blame the director...he did what he could with resources given to him. after all its…
But if it was P’Tee who added the background aimed at getting us to understand why Lhong did what he did, he was the one romanticizing (or at least explaining why the instigator arranged) rape, not Mame. Are you just Mame bashing?
In fact, in season 1 , neither Type nor Tar’s rape was romanticized; both were ugly and brutal. The non-consensual scenes between Tharn and Type, on the other hand, come close to romanticization and are ambiguous at best.
However, the question is: should everything in fiction or film (the imaginary world) be morally correct when the real world clearly isn’t? I, personally, think not. Things happen between lovers or potential lovers, like it or not.
I also don’t subscribe to the view that vulnerable viewers need to be protected, especially when there is an adult rating. Thank goodness that attitude wasn’t around in Elizabethan England!
It creep me out in the first season but now I am extremely creep out by Thorn and his obsession with “Princess.”…
Maybe you don’t have younger siblings. My sister is 15 years younger than me and I still sometimes use affectionate nicknames for her even though she now has children of her own. There’s nothing creepy about it; it’s just family affection. Some cultures just show it in different ways. On the other hand, once she was an adult, I wouldn’t have dreamed of interfering in her life without invitation. Thorn is definitely over the top but it’s wanting to protect rather than perverse or creepy behavior.
Actually...I really don't understand why Tharn wants to marry Type. A piece of paper really isn't that important.…
As some one who can only live with my partner and our child in his country because of that piece of paper, I can assure you there are situations where it does matter.
did she ever say why she changed the production team?. because this makes no sense, they made so much money in…
Crew and admin, as well as support cast, tend not to make so much in developing countries. Many involved will be freelancers rather than being employed by the TV company. They will be keen simply to get work on a successful project so I don’t think this is a mercenary venture for everyone involved. TV tends to be made because there is a market for it but that doesn’t mean it’s a ‘cash grab’. In any case, the sponsors are probably making the most out of it.

You need to be careful with what you write. This comment is tantamount to an accusation of criminal behavior. Also, international fans are not generally paying to see this production, nor are they the target for many sponsors.
