I really want to follow this drama through and through but the feeling of dropping this off in the middle is strong.
I feel like this will become a story of the leads falling for each other (as fate dictates) but can't because of a lovely soul in between, that is their friend; that kind of drama that is enchanting to watch because of their destiny, but also a torture because of the continuous pity and feeling-bad for that character.
I just hope this drama won't become something I will just cry over and can't stand to watch.
But I will hang in there and continue, because of the good script, cinematography, mood and pacing. Let's see...
One of the sweetest TV MOVIE/Drama Special I've ever watched! I wish this is a series!
When I first encountered these actors, they were portraying serious and complex characters. I want to see Kim JinWoo & Lee Chung Ah act simple and adorable again!
It earned a place in my heart. I love it very much! I laughed a lot and cried a bucket. So many life lessons. Very inspiring. Refreshing. Amazing cast. It's worth the watch. Highly recommended!!!
Until now, I am still wishing for a separate drama for Oh Jin Kyu and Lee Ji Yoon. They are so cute together. They are too good to be second leads. Yep, I need a Kim Sun Ho and Go Won Hee drama. I need it! For how many years should we wait for these two actors to pair up again?! Anyone? Producer? Director? Writer? Please... Please... Please...
I totally agree with you! Just because the ending did not go with what people want and expectations, it doesn't mean it is horrible. This drama is full of surprises from beginning to end. It is not a surprise that they will go with a not-so-ordinary ending. They aimed for breaking our hearts for giving such an ending to a loveable character. I cried a lot watching my favorite character die. I guess, that's what you call success. They successfully broke our hearts. That's how effective this drama is.
I think the ending is sensible and goes with reality as well. It makes sense that Ms. Han and her team didn't show any remorse. In their eyes, they're doing the RIGHT THING, and so they don't have any reason to feel any regret. Their goal is to protect MC group. They were indeed successful in doing so. That's why Ms. Han and TOP looked like more victorious in the end. That's more realistic.
My memory is really terrible. What happened with Seok Hee's pen recording of Director Han basically admitting…
The papers they put in lockers were the missing case files. They needed those files for retrial and so they hid it from Ms. Han's grasp. About the recording ~ I guess it was included in the evidence of Ms. Han's involvement in Mr. Wang's death. Prosecutor Joo said Seok Hee and Yoon Do must gather all necessary evidence against Ms. Han, and so they did. On the trial, we saw the evidence and witnesses being presented by Prosecutor Joo (summary and highlights). I think it was already included there.
And we'll never know what Ms Han said on the phone to Chairman Wang that he died hearing that..
It was Seok Hee's record saying "As long as I get MC Group, it doesn't matter if Grandpa dies or not". It was revealed on EP6 when Ms. Han was forcing SH to give up her management rights. Ms. Han said that Seok Hee killed Mr. Wang, then she played the audio. You will also see that Ms. Han had two phones when she called Mr. Wang.
'Don't wanna spoil. Audience must experience, watch, and feel it first hand. Better reserve it. I just wanna say...
Graceful Family has been concluded cleanly and wisely. I cried SO HARD. This drama is PURE MASTERPIECE!!! Most favorite drama of 2019!!! A round of applause!!! Standing ovation! Well deserved. Congratulations!!! Thank you for all the feels!!!
Not everything that I expected happened. But... everything that happened was well-fitted, sensible, and cleanly concluded. SATISFIED!
I will really write a long positive review about this drama. The great cast and crew deserve all positive words from their audience. Daebak!!! AMAZING!!! *Wan Soo voice*
'Will definitely have a drama hangover for a month.
Oops. I didn't expect my first comment on this drama to be that long. HAHAHA! Can't help it!On the lighter note,…
Me too!!! But yeah, it's cute. They are that kind of couple. Seok Hee is still adjusting since it is her first (I am guessing — she said she don't believe in love) and Yoon Doo is... a freakin' gentleman ~ LOL! I kinda feel Seok Hee is also his first. I think he's that super naive. He can't even feel that his long-time friend likes him (so sad). And also, I think he's that "No time. Let's focus on mom's case".
But they are in a very sad and heavy situation. All they do is comfort each other. That's understandable. To flirt like carefree teenagers would be so out of place and insensitive (???).
BUT!!! I want a ROUND 2!!! I mean, they need to kiss again (LOL!!) with more romantic set and background music (OST), not in front of a gov't building!!! The 4th OST must be played! We have one more episode. I hope they give us another scene ~ the "victory" kiss.
I really love this couple and their slow progress.
EDITS:Disregard these long lists of speculations below. Our previous theories were accurate. Sadly, Wan Soo is…
YES!!! YES!!! YES!!! You got some of what I am thinking... For me, Wan Soo is more like JUST super desperate to please his mom and family, and that he will do everything and every favor for them, but not to murder someone. He has this soft spot... More human, than the rest of his family, considering how he reacts on every insensitive comments his family say.
It is possible he was the one who staged and covered the scene, considering the PAPER BAG!!! He's a director and he makes stories!!! He can stage a SET!!!
I always feel like he's the one who knows everything... And he's so near to spill it out!!! They are pushing him to!
If he's not the killer, then he's the key to solve the murder.
I hope that Mo Suk Hee's mother didn't have an affair late chairman Wang , then this drama will be really messed…
OR!!! SH's mom a different woman, neither the murdered mom nor Ms. Jung...
If that's the case, I think Ms. Jung will know who's the real mom. I think she was one of the people who covered up the identity of Mr. Wang's mistress and the suicide of his wife, considering her loyalty.
I hope that Mo Suk Hee's mother didn't have an affair late chairman Wang , then this drama will be really messed…
OR!!! The murdered mom really did commit a suicide but then... when every family member saw the scene, they assumed that someone murdered her in the family, knowing that every one of them had motive... Then asked Ms. Han to cover it up just to keep it silent.
Ms. Han, on the other hand, assumed as well that she was killed but couldn't really tell who the killer was (when in truth, there was none), and so she framed the maid for the murder, JUST to bury and conclude the disturbing case.
I hope that Mo Suk Hee's mother didn't have an affair late chairman Wang , then this drama will be really messed…
As for Wan Soo... If he's not the culprit, then I guess, he's a great observer that works behind the curtain, and just waiting for the right time to reveal everything he knows, and bring everyone down in one blow... But it seems, he's being pushed... He's near to spill everything.
If he's not the murderer, then he's the key to solve the murder.

I have the same theory that the murdered mom was not really SH's mom... that she couldn't really have a baby, considering that they didn't have a child and that Mr. Mo had a child with the mistress...
I also have a wild guess that Ms. Jung, the loyal caretaker, is SH's real mother, considering how loyal she is even after Mr. Wang died.
There's also a possibility that SH's mom wasn't murdered at all, and that she committed suicide. Ms. Han just covered it to save MC group's face, because suicide is still a grave issue... Just like how their grandmother's suicide (because of Mr. Wang's affair) was buried.
As Ms. Han said, the truth will only hurt Seok Hee.

Well, I like the theme/concept they're trying to achieve here! So far, so good! I hope the momentum will continue!

It won't really hurt Ha Young Seo and the rest of the villains if he ends up as the killer. Only Seok Hee.
But if he is, I hope the motive is solid and sensible.
