It's really unpredictable. The details and signs are all over the previous episodes ~ so it is not really out of the blue. This only shows that the story is well written... From first episode to last. Can't help but create and consider a lot of theories. This drama makes me think. I like it. I am so excited for the last 2 episodes next week!
How’s the chemistry between the male and female leads?
I really really love their chemistry... 'been shipping them since the beginning. They have these subtle moments wherein you will feel the "pull" and tension between them. CHEMISTRY.
For a not-so-focused-on-romance Kdrama, I am so happy and relieved that the ship has finally and officially sailed. Thank you writer-nim for making it happen. So satisfied ~ although the major moment happened in front of a government building, of all places. It is still sweet. Yoon Do's reaction when he saw Seok Hee's smile ~ I felt that. I can now go to sleep. Writer-nim, please make some more. Hehehe.
You'll know if a KDrama is good when you're loving and rooting for the good ones and loving and hating the evil ones ~ AND applauding the actors for doing a great job! The characters develop and grow in you ~That's Graceful Family.
I kind of feel Ms. Han is already suspicious of Yoon Do... And that she has the idea of what he was trying to do. She's only seeking for a motive and reason. Being a friend of the heiress and being in love with her (in case) are shallow. She's seeking for a solid reason that can also bring Yoon Do and Seok Hee down together. For the mean time, she's using him.
I kind of predicted the plot twist ~ it was one of the theories I had while I was low-key hoping for the married couple to get through and survive since they look good together. But then, Wan Joon is Wan Joon. Also... He's so mean. I feel happy that the wife can now be free from the family and have a life. It's getting interesting ~ I am looking forward to seeing the step mom's reaction if she finds out ~And, the SHIP is freakin' SAILING!!!! I love the relationship progress ~ slow and subtle BUT sweet. I hope the characters end up together! Really looking forward to more progress *love is in the air*
It's super intense right now ~ this drama has a way to make their viewers come and look forward to each episode! They are so good with cliffhangers... And, the characters!!! DAEBAK!!! That's what you get when all characters are fighting, have their own strategies, agenda, and are thinking!!! It's CHAOS!!! WELL DESERVED! Go Graceful Family TEAM!!!
Why I freakin' love love Forest of Secrets (Stranger)... Because it is super super super DETAILED ~ the storyline/plot, script, expression of actors ~ magnifico! It will take a lot of observation and rewatching of the said KDrama to notice the little/hidden details ~ and come to a conclusion.
About the relationship of the leads ~ please observe again and analyze the script, and you'll see more details again. There are subtle things and points worth observing. As well as with other characters. The actors are all amazing to be able to say A LOT with just their short expressions ~ and lead their viewers to that "understanding". I love how this drama make their viewers do the thinking on what the characters meant and felt ~ especially Si Mok — since he is "unfeeling" but "not really".
The writer did a very good job! I am super excited for the second SEASON!!!
Just in case you think that Seok Hee's "auto-brewery syndrome" (in which carbohydrates intakes are automatically turn into alcohol) is out of the blue ~ Symptoms and indications were already there since Episode 1.
~ EPISODE 1 ~ Seok Hee ate bread (carbs) to be accused for DUI
~ EPISODE 2 ~ Seok Hee refused the already prepared breakfast (bread = carbs) and asked for steak
~ EPISODE 3 ~ Seok Hee refused the drink offered by the inmate and said she was allergic to beans (carbs)
~ EPISODE 3 ~ Seok Hee didn't eat the prison food which was rice (carbs) and ordered food. She ate chicken.
~ EPISODE 4 ~ Yoon Do commented Seok Hee being a meat lover. She ate BBQ a lot and also veggies (which is not carbs)
~ EPISODE 5 ~ the prepared drinks for breakfast on the day of the shareholder's meeting was a drink with carbohydrates powder. It looked like mango/orange juice and so, she took a sip.
Graceful family is a very detailed drama ~ if you watch the episodes again, you'll see details more and more. The characters shine in their own way ~ they are all alive and vibrant (and different from one another). I like how the story is weaved through, one by one (step by step). I like how the script is made. They will say things that looks unimportant, but will later show significance after an episode or so. This drama is really intriguing ~ letting the viewers think and make guesses. This is well thought. I am really looking forward to its progress.
