I have been rewatching episodes.

General and Madam Cheng are indeed CSS parents!
When CSS was escorted by LBY, after that she was asked regarding her familiarity with LBY and deducted the he liked her.
When YS volunteered to be their teacher, they again questioned CSS regarding his interactions with YS.

On both occasions CSS has no idea or dismissing the idea that they probably like her

In the banquet of the betrothal of CSS and LY , she’s went to see LBY part and partial because of his threat to marry him if refuse to see her. It is evident that LBY really likes her.

Aside from LBY demonstrating his love thru actions, I thought that it would be surprising for her parents when he proposed and she would have an idea already. I guess there is a truth in the saying that everybody knows except you (CSS)! 🙄😆😅

That’s what I thought too! She’s comparing apples to oranges but obviously her bias was evidently shown!

Did you watch her raving about LBFAD? So I tried to watch but it didn’t evoke the emotions I felt when I watched LLTG. We have different taste indeed and it’s ok

For those regular viewers LLTG ends on Tuesday while express pass s viewers have already been discussing for more than a week now.

I reacted to avenue x final review that if the drama is not your cup of tea more likely you wouldn’t like that particular drama and your biases to a particular actor/s would prevail.

The actors, cinematography, direction and production would grow on you as you go along the drama.

What made LLTG special was it united us (drama viewers) on feeling with the characters as they go along their journey. That drama that made you feel that way will have it’s mark on you and will remain as one of your time well spent!😊

I know who are you talking about! I am one of their shippers! From reel to real! It all started from bts and how would they look and interact with each other! The difference I think that that kcouple are mature compared to our WuLu couple ! 💪💗

I’ve watched a tarot reader from YT and said that they could be together in about 1.5 year time. She said that Lei really like her from his side but both of them are holding back… accdg to her at the 1st half of filming, they really see each other as friends but the sparks already started at the later part and after filming

I can endure watching even if I know the story line. Aside from defibrillator we need ice bucket to suench the 🔥🤣

There are many kiss scenes and intimate scenario in what’s wrong with secretary kim (modern drama)! If they could make us swoon just by looking at each other in LLTG how much more in WWWSK 😍🔥

LBY is like a cat. He has more than 9 lives!🙄 I’ve lost count how many he used already! 🤣For sure the last remaining is for CSS and their family!💗

Lessons learned by watching LLTG:

Family is life…
- Cheng family with the good, bad and the ugly but until the last, stood by each other.
- Huo family loss and eventual driving force and motivation of LBY
- Royal family with good parents but with some questionable behaviors of their children

Never judge a character if you never knew their past.
- LBY motivation that leads to his action and Shaoshang’s character perception initially by her parents and the educated ladies of the capital.

Love is a choice….
-LBY chose Shaoshang, madam Cheng chose general Cheng, Qiqi chose Song, Emperor Wendy chose consort Yue(love) and Empress (alliance)

I think what LLTG stands out from the usual period drama is that they did not follow drama’s usual tendency of scheming within the royal family, power grabbing and planning of killing those who oppose them.

YY did not turn bad and eventually married, others that were initially kind that turned bad, bitchy princesses were exposed and taught a lesson or two.

LLTG made me sign up because i liked it so much. Aside from what others have previously mentioned, what sets it apart from other usual period drama imo are the following:
1. Our leads are not dumb, pitiful and helpless. They are both cunning, sensitive and strategic on how they handle matters. Although they have flaws too that make them more relatable
2. The emperor, empress and consort live harmoniously without anyone with an intent to harm the other..
3. The family dynamics reflects cultural setting during that period but injected with a modern way of thinking by breaking the norms of what is expected specially the femele characters.
4. The drama triggered a sense of kinship to the fans and commenters that it made watching and waiting more toelrable and enjoyable.
Hope we could move on faster from this drama but this will remain one of my favorite cdrama of all time like the kdrama because this is my life. Hope to meet you again in other worthy drama soon! 😊
