what a hell of a start and I’m seated.

But you know what? This was a solid start. I’ll be honest—I'm was going into My Stubborn with both low expectations and, somehow, high ones. So where this ends up landing? Anyone’s guess. It might end up being one of those train wrecks I can’t look away from. but as of right now this exceeded all my expectations so here is hoping it stays that way until
the end.

One thing I do know: it’s going to be messy. Deliciously, gloriously messy. I’m also super glad they moved up Jun’s age from high schooler (as both the description here and IQIYI have) to 21. and I’m assuming the scene from the start Jun was 19 maybe 18 since we get the 21 clarification and a “two years later”

Side note: I want to give a quick shoutout to the casting. I love that all the actors are over 27. It makes a real difference, especially in a series like this. Age-appropriate casting matters—there’s just a certain presence, a grounded energy, that comes with experience. For example, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t buy the MC in Bad Guy, My Boss as a CEO. He was only 20, and you could feel it—not just in how he looked, but in the presence that he brought to the role. That’s not the case here, and I genuinely appreciate it.

This ride is going to be toxic, wild, dramatic chaos—and honestly? I’m all in.
