A Masterclass in Narrative Misdirection
Man, flashbacks are king in this series. At some point, you think you finally understand the plot — but no, that’s not really what happened. Mouse constantly rewrites its own story, breaking under pressure and reshaping itself through a strong Asian storytelling influence that modern shows rarely dare to use this aggressively. You start watching and think, okay, this could’ve ended in 6 episodes. Then you reach episode 12 and think the same. But it just keeps going — not because it’s stretched, but because the entire plot keeps blooming with every episode. Each new reveal adds depth, twists your understanding, and forces you to re-evaluate everything you believed before.
The series plays with perception, morality, and truth, using flashbacks as weapons rather than explanations. Just when you feel comfortable, it pulls you back into chaos.
Highly recommended.
