sadly, she ends up with Hyun because Akhee sacrifices himself to seal the demon. but they are not showing any demon in the drama, instead making it feel like Akhee is a spirit and not the alterego of Hyun. so idk what they are up to, but in the webtoon, she ends up with the coward Hyun even tho she loved Akhee very much. if Akhee didn't get locked up for forever in due of sealing the demon, she would most likely end up with him.

if I'm at the palace to kill the king, with hundreds of guards ready to kill me if they catch me, I'd love to see him erasing my memories and turning me into his woman in order of keeping me alive. it's not like he did that to abuse her or something. have he even tried to r*pe her or something? no. then, okay. so come, Akhee. save the day!

but in this case the hero is Akhee, tho. there would be no happy ending for this if not for Akhee's courage and love. not to mention Hyun wasn't trying to save anyone but his reputation by letting her to be condemned. he knew pretty well she wasn't at fault. he sounds more villain than Akhee would ever do.

his empathy? his instinct was to let the girl be tortured and condemned. he left her to die. when he decided to have a glimpse of conscience, Akhee was already ready to act and it could be too late, because Hyun doesn't have the audacity, courage and insight that Akhee has. he would certainly say "Amen" to anyone who tried to stop him from saving Kyera, just like he did when his wife treated her as guilty, even though he saw with his eyes that the needle used was not the same as the ones Kyera had. and I don't think you're understanding the drama right, because in another comment you stated that it was Hyun who kissed Kyera, even though the episode itself showed Hyun questioning what Akhee was doing. we, the ones who read the webtoon, know pretty well how much Hyun is a tyrant and the rightful hero one is Akhee, so let us stand for Akhee. I don't like Hyun even in the webtoon, but that's okay if you do.
