I've been really loving this drama. But to me personally, I don't feel like Hye Jin has an utter disregard or disrespect for herself. I just feel that she tends to put others before herself in every aspect of her life. Whether it's her family, her friends, or her coworkers. And I don't see that as a bad thing. And no. Hye Jin isn't polished and pretty and in a neat little package, and no she isn't quiet or subtle. But I think that adds something to her. She's still kind, caring, and polite. She's just overly zealous, and awkward. She doesn't know how to deal with certain situations and doesn't react the way we deem people should. And I think that's okay. Hye Jin has a lot to learn, and a lot to develop, but I don't think she's awful. She's just different. And she's trying. She's trying to fit into this new world and do her job the best she can, she's just a bit of a mess right now, and I think she'll get better, slowly, but surely.
Personally, I think the worst character is Ha Ri. She uses others, takes things (the puzzle piece), lies to her closest friend, tries to live a life that doesn't belong to her (the whole family part), she's jealous of the life her friend has, yet does nothing to change her own circumstances. She wants to be valued as "pretty" but has no real substance. I don't know. To me she's a typical character. One that bothers me. I really hope in the upcoming episodes we'll see more than just pettiness from her, and some intense character development. I think episode 6 set it in motion, we just have to wait for it to pull through.
This drama always has me in smiles. Cha Hyun Suk is such a sweetheart, and he really cares about what No Ra needs. And No Ra is has turned into such a strong woman! I really really hope her and her husband actually divorce like she suggests at the end of episode 10, because I see no way of that relationship ever working out. Kim Woo Chul is too demanding, hypocritical, and possessive and he always suppressed No Ra and never truly cared for her beyond the initial infatuation when they first met. He is bothering me so much right now! I cannot wait for all this mess that he created to really backfire on him!

Now, I've watched up until episode 20 and I think it drastically improved after episode 8. I feel with most Chinese dramas you can't judge them until after the 10th episode because they spend a lot of time setting up the plot and characters, and not much on development until after those 10 episodes. While it's not nearly as good as Boss and Me, it does have its own merits.

We finally see more of who Bong Sun is, as well as see major development in Seon Woo. He's decided where his heart is, and he's seen who Bong Sun is without Soon Ae. Which is something I've been so excited for. Their affection for each other is so heart warming, and when Chef finally found out she wrote "You Are My Sunshine" I was smiling so hard.
I also feel like we see a lot of development Soon Ae wise as well, she's begun to realize that it was never her virgin grudge holding her here, but rather her death and the mystery surrounding it. She's got a new purpose and I'm really hoping she'll complete it before turning into an evil spirit.
The plot is still getting better every episode and the writing always blows me away. This show is one im pretty sure I'll be rewatching once it ends. I'm so sad it's only 16 episodes, I've been living in denial and saying its 20, but I know the truth...

I'm really happy with the way episode 12 ended, I feel like in the next episode we'll get to see even more development Bong Sun wise, as telling Seon Woo was such a big step for her. I'm also really glad we got to see Bong Sun this episode, while I adore Soon Ae, Soon Ae in Bong Sun's body just made me kind've upset. But Officer Choi in this episode! I mean, I knew he was evil because of the spirit thing, but what he did to that guy, and to his own hand? Majorly creepy.

He's most definitely killed people, and he gives me creepy vibes, but I really really like him. And I like Lee Hyeon and Min being all brothery and sweet and it just makes me so happy although Min is kinda creepily obsessed with Lee Hyeon. I don't know I like the whole dynamic between them and I really like Min and I want him to get better.

I feel like after episode 9, I can tell that Chef prefers Bong Sun to Soon Ae. Just because I feel like when Soon Ae was in Bong Sun's body Seon Woo was less thrilled to be around her especially on their date. Maybe I'm just saying this because I prefer Bong Sun over Soon Ae with Chef, but I just feel like he doesn't quite like the Soon Ae version of Bing Sun as much as he likes the real Bong Sun.

It was honestly that bad. But if you really want to watch it, go for it. You may have a completely different experience with it, who knows, maybe you'll really enjoy it! The second lead couple is super great! Just keep your expectations for this drama low.
