I am glad i didn’t bother some comments & started watching this drama myself....& after watching 13…
as a fellow film school graduate I have to say I disagree with you on non-linear narrative, abstract storytelling and ‘you’ll have to assume some parts of the story’. I disagree mainly because non-linear and abstract are two completely different things and don’t go together for nowadays medias just cause they don’t work, while yes you can do it the problem is nobody will actually understand or be engaged enough to finish it. Now about having to assume some parts of the story, I totally disagree on that, while non-linear narratives won’t tell you everything straightforward in chronological order they will for sure tell the story at some point using flashbacks, flash forwards, different timelines, which is extremely entertaining, dynamic and engaging for the audience. I’m on ep15 and I can say that it’s not what’s happening here, most of the time this looks more like a couple of scenes put together without proper thought to the storytelling and no real pace and major character progression than non-linear, and yes that’s is probably not the director’s fault. However I AGREE TO THE DOT with you that non-linear is an art, heck I’ll even add is a dying one since were are getting more and more chewed out stories where we don’t have to even pay actual attention to understand. And yes this is definitely not for all audiences but if powered through with proper interest it a hidden beauty almost like a secret only few can see and appreciate it.

But they are friends first before even talking about love or anything like yingtao know's she likes him but put's…
I get that really and I love their friendship and with the others too, but the love is lacking too much for me to see their he in the future yk.
Also I feel ya with the no reply try, it’s actually too hard to not comment what others are saying especially the really bad ones😂

“When I Fly Towards You” was 24 short episodes (30-35 minutes each compared to 45 minutes here) and managed…
Wow that was a fast reply I just closed the app😂
I totally agree with you on at least they are not dragging to 40 cause i really don’t think i would be able to keep up with that at this slow almost stopping pace we have going

Okay catching up to this just got to ep12 and i have somethings to say. First of let me say I was waiting for this drama since it was announced, I watched TPR which I liked a lot and loved the chemistry between Jin Mai and Ling He(btw I love him) so I couldn’t wait to see them together again.
With that out of the way now I can say I’m starting to have some issues with the drama. I get the pacing of it is meant to be slow since it’s about youth and growing up to be who you wanna be, but this is going to slow for a 24 eps drama. I’m not seeing nearly enough of the Main Couple relationship development to justify their love, not enough of the side characters and their relationships too. We needed more background stories to really feel their connection and why it goes beyond just a childhood crush, right now for me it’s a little bit of “you want what you can’t have” type of thing since they aren’t allowed to even be friends.
And what’s up with ZLH annoying screentime he’s supposed to be the ML but he’s out of screen them that Yu Qiao guy and it’s getting on my nerves.
I will definitely continue watching it even with all it has been entertaining enough for now, although some of my excitement has toned down a bit.

I love Xiao Wu but I have to say day that this version of Hu Lie Na and Tang San would be a powerful couple and Xu Jia Qi is an amazing Hu Lie Na

Okay I love this one a lot. It’s my go to drama when I’m bored or finished another drama and haven’t moved enough to watch another one yet, so basically I rewatched it many times. It’s very entertaining if, like me, you don’t know about the story from the novel or never watched the donghua. I decided to start this after I finished Fights Break Sphere and it entertaining me a lot more than FBS. Duoluo has smaller eps which makes it easier to watch without getting bored or tired while marathoning. The story is very easy to keep up throughout it all, the characters are funny in their own ways and the cast did a good job with them. While some sfx were a little bad there was nothing too bad to make me want to skip to the next part and I liked most of it. The ending can be confusing, again if like me you don’t know a thing, but it makes sense in the story, if you watched it all, keeping a door open for another which is coming unfortunately with a completely different cast and it’s said to pick up were it left. Xiao Zhan is one of my favorites actors and I really like him here, it’s unfortunate he won’t be in the sequel since he was a great Tan San. With all that said Douluo Continent it’s a very good show to give yourself a break from intricate plots or just wanna watch something while having a meal or pass time.

Omg yes the last ep SRQ got on my nerves so bad I almost skipped his final part. I actually didn’t watch the special yet. I’m postponing it cause I just had to rewatch TPR again before anything

Exactly! Their love is right there for us to see even though LR denies it at first you can see it easily through her actions cause that’s how she shows it. PWX is super devoted and very open about his love for her, it’s hilarious every time he is near SRQ he does something to make it clear that he will never have her. I couldn’t care less for LR and SRQ relationship in their previous life but I admit sometimes he annoyed me specially more close to the cause of too much screen time, I wanted to go through my tv and get him out of the way of my PeiRong life already. Also it definitely one of my favorites of 2024 and maybe one my favorites of all cause I love Zhang Ling He and even though it was my first time watching something from Jin Mai I already like her a lot
On The Princess Royal Oct 22, 2024
since the beginning you can notice that li rong loves pei wenxuan and that su rongqing was there and available so she liked him but it was just convenient enough to fill in the void
On Love between Fairy and Devil Mar 1, 2024
Good God that was something else. I started this drama without the slightest pretension of it being this good, it was my first c-drama and i loved it very very much. Their love was so pure and honest it made me cry my heart out since ep 28. It was so worthy giving it a chance, it had an amazing story, amazing visual effects and a masterpiece of ost.
On Death's Game Part 2 Feb 29, 2024
Title Death's Game Part 2 Spoiler
I started with high expectations but ended disappointed unfortunately. The cast is amazing and they all did a great job in their respective roles but Park Sodam was outstandly good as Death such a great job.! The main character is extremely selfish and that annoyed me a lot, the way he doesn't change no matter what and them he decides to take revenge only cause he got pissed is stupid the guy killed his girlfriend is stupid. He doesn't care about the hurt he caused to his mother and girlfriend until like the last minute, which really made him unlikeable for me, he only think about himself and his hardships while his own mother had a way harder life than him. There were some serious plot holes in this"punishment" he is going through and the rules of it that Death has explained and repeated almost every episode. I had to force myself to finish this drama and for me it wasn't worthy at all, it has a relatively good intentions and a good main plot but it felt like someone got lost in the middle and forgot to check what was already written before, he should had failed and be sent to hell at least two times. There are way better dramas that aboard this topic of suicide than this one, for me personally. The last episode was nice mainly cause we got to see his mother side and all the hardship she suffered in her life but never gave up unlike him, but he never should had that second chance, he choose that and death doesn't give second chances.Again it was a great casting, great production, great xecution from the cast but plots holes and a very unlikable main character ruined it all for me, which was a shame cause I really like all of the actors and actresses in this.
On Perfect Marriage Revenge Jan 11, 2024
Very entertaining, good acting, I liked the chemistry between the main couple, it was very good, the amount of eps was great not long with fillers, which is nice cause it didn't became boring. The story is nice and Yi Joo never seemed weak during the whole story or acted dumb which is nice. I loved the "fight" between their moms too, mother in-law was super smart and strong. Her adopted mother an awful person again great job by the cast cause I hated her from beginning till end. Seo Do Guk was great he had Yi Joo' back from the start and they way cared for was perfect and how much he loved her even not actually knowing her for that long. I loved this kdrama pretty solid all-around.
Go Youn Jung is amazing! I wasn't expecting much cause of the actress change but she has fitted just perfectly, since she first appeared I was mesmerized and then she showed me how awfully wrong I was for ever doubting the change. It's really unbelievable how she made me completely forget about Mu Deok. The personality change when she remembers she is Naksu and she goes from this super cute Jin Bu Yeon to this kinda cold Naksu/Cho Yeong made me miss her cute side a lot. Lee Jae Wook what an actor, we knew he was good but he proved he is great. He is a completely different character in this part, has more of a dark side to him because of everything that happened and he totally nailed it. Also their chemistry is on point which was a great fit for the story int this second part, the way I cried for them from ep 1 to 10, specially 8. Amazing job really, the best second part/season I've ever seen, what a great story and the perfect ending
