From episode 1 I still believe to fully understand the drama you would have to read the novel or watch princess agents , just because of the emotions, relationships and background it builds in detail. For me personally princess agents is one of my top cdrama along with ten thousand miles of peach blossom. It is a drama that means a lot to me and I was truly invested in the story and characters. For me PA was too epic, even though after they filmed it they banned the fact that she is a transmigrator , I see the ban holds for this drama as well. It is hard for me to let go of the cast that brought to life the characters in the novel so majestically in PA. I was really hoping to see from the lake scene cliffhanger onwards live , but I had not realized until now how attached I am to PA. If anyone is interested in reading the novel as well , you may find it as Special Agent Imperial Concubine (11处特工皇妃) by Xiao Xiang Dong Er which is also referred to above in this drama description. The novel is beautifully well written and worth it if you enjoy reading. I wish everyone a happy viewing, I know many were eagerly waiting for this drama and the wait is finally over.
Dropped for now and will read reviews later if I want to pick it back up or not. Honestly, I can’t with the FL in that armor 😂 She’s so tiny, she’s like the size of my palms 🤣
I am giving it a chance as only 5 episodes are out, but the direction and production are very poor, it's not the casting's fault. And yes, I have watched Princess Agent.

why people dropped this drama and now re-watching again I don't understand did smtg happened pls enlighten me
cause new drama ""Rebirth"", its princess agents sequel just with new actors. tho most events will be shown as flashback but if u watch this its much better than just flashback
this guy verbally abuses and humiliates his actors and actresses on set in front of everyone, so disgusting...

I’m not the biggest Dilraba fan but your comment about their age difference is ridiculous. They are 8 (!) years apart. How could that ever be a mother and son relationship? And why can an older man have a way younger love interest but if the roles are reversed not even 8 years are ok? Also rating an entire drama based only on the FL‘s acting and that after only 3 episodes can hardly be meant as a serious review and it‘s definitely unfair towards the production itself.

Here is a more objective explanation of the variety show issue.
China is a very large country with 56 ethnic groups, and people from different regions often have noticeable differences in appearance. In daily life, it is quite common for people to casually comment that someone “looks like they are from a certain region.” In that context, such remarks are usually not intended to be offensive, but rather a habitual way of describing appearances.
During the show, Zhang Linghe made a similar comment in a natural way, and it was not considered inappropriate during editing.
However, after the broadcast, some viewers from Southeast Asia felt offended. In response, he chose to apologize out of respect for their feelings. even knowing it might expose him to more criticism online.
His Instagram account is managed by agency staff, and the way the apology was posted may have come across as less sincere, which led to further misunderstanding.
The purpose of sharing this is simply to provide more context. In situations like this, misunderstandings can easily arise, and public opinion can sometimes be influenced by incomplete information and cultural difference.

If, why Yu Wen Yue became Zhuge Yue?
Why change of name?
