People should really first learn the actual meaning of the term FEMINIST before throwing it around carelessly.…
It's just one/the same account spewing bs. The profile was made only 2 weeks ago too with one show on record (this one). I'm pretty sure they're a troll.
So ? What's your point ?You do realise it was in January 2024 ? Only obsessed anti-fans keep bringing minor issues…
Ok, now I see why you are bringing this up...
Look, Jennie shouldn't be cancelled for that either. And, as far as I'm aware, she wasn't cancelled for it, she is literally touring and doing very well right now. Now, if you're saying that both Jennie and Ji Changwook should be cancelled, then I'm sorry, but I heavily disagree. People are allowed to make mistakes if it's something minor and they own up to it.
I feel that this is the most mundane scandal. I saw the photos, the other people didn't seem to mind. That said,…
Are... Are you serious right now...? Is the lead actor above a director? Are all lead actors walking around film sets with a bat in their hand, telling people, "let me do as I want or else"?
Are you accusing Ji Changwook of maliciously doing this to bully the other actors and staff? He made a mistake and was not being conscious of others. If this is what you're bringing the pitchforks out for, then I don't know what to say. That is exactly the toxicity that people criticize Asian entertainment fans for.

Ask him to stop? Or maybe ask the director to tell him to stop? I don't know, are you accusing him of running the pre-film set with an iron fist? What do you or I know?
Obviously he shouldn't have, but he apologized. If you don't want to move on, then you do you.
but he vaped during drama filming in front of junior actors and full of staffs in the room

I mean, sometimes people work better as divorced parents than as married ones. Nothing wrong with that. Divorce is hard, but it's not always the wrong choice. However, I'm happy that she's on good terms with her ex-husband and that the kids are being raised by both of them well.
Another overrated drama has ended. There's no need to go so far with these lousy reviews comparing this one to…
Does When Life Gives You Tangerines count as second quarter? That series was fantastic. But I do agree the first quarter had much stronger series than the second this year.
I think they wanted some action scene in the drama lol. Some are saying that there was lackings of heart. I mean…
I think expectations were just so high because Hospital Playlist is so beloved. Resident Playbook might be the weakest of the three, but I still enjoyed it a lot!
I didn't know she was cancelled but if that's the reason it's insane ...
It wasn't bad blood with her BF. To simplify, it was both of them bullying the production set. It wasn't great, but it's not bad enough to be cancelled so I'm glad she's back.
I personally didn't find Ae-sun to be insufferable and, honestly, I found her to be realistic for someone her…
Then I understand a bit better where you are coming from. I don't necessarily disagree (although I disagree on your example of Lovely Runner) as I think that there is a necessity for showing a variety of ways that women can be strong-willed and determined, but I do want to give the writer grace as I think this is an issue of kdramas being too trope-y in both their story and characters, rather than any deliberate ill-will on the writer's part.
For example, I think part of the reason why the female lead can be seen as 'rude' in kdramas is that the trope of male love interests in recent dramas is that they are usually both reserved and perfect in their attitude towards the female lead (basically a total green flag). If a story is to be entertaining, then there needs to be some slight conflict or back and forth in the romance between the two leads, so usually that falls on the female lead.
This often works in the sense that these shows are written from the female perspective and, generally, we want a female lead that is relatable in her shortcomings and a romantic interest that is a total green flag, but I can see where you'd get those frustrations when this depiction keeps being shown.
On the other hand, dramas where the male lead is often the source of back and forth (Cheese in the Trap, Nevertheless, etc.), my god do I hate those shows.
I don't know if I have the perfect answer for this, but these are just my thoughts. I do want to give the writer of this drama some grace, as I think she is quite talented and has written a good show so far.
And as a side note, I recommend 2521 if you haven't seen it yet! Kim Tae-ri's character is loud in that drama, but her character isn't disrespectful. Actually, it's Nam Joo-hyuk's character that tends to make the mistakes in their relationship, but his character still comes off as ok- I think due to the biggest source of tension in their relationship being the circumstances that surround it.
Truly hoping Ae-Sun goes through some serious character development. Ive noted a lot of south korean dramas think…
I personally didn't find Ae-sun to be insufferable and, honestly, I found her to be realistic for someone her age in her circumstance. Gwang-sik was the unrealistic one; no one like that exists in real life.
I didn't find the leads of Queen of Tears or Love Scout to be loud, insufferable, or disrespectful, either. I think the 'loudness' trope is independent of being a strong female lead, it's more a tiki-taka trope that has existed since the movie My Sassy Girl (a lead that wasn't exactly strong or independent). That's a movie where the female lead's only 'strength' is her loudness and disrespectful behavior.
But Korea is terrible with Sci-Fi. I have yet to see a good Korean Sci-Fi show or movie.
That said, the trailer for this show doesn't really give me high hopes.

I also recommend some of the non-romances!
