Captain Frost

Couldn't get into it at all although I got hooked on ep 1. I tried EP 2, it was so boring unfortunately. Maybe I'll try to skim the OG.

Actually I feel he has the potential, but LOF was a messed up product despite its big budget, got postponed for several months due to pandemic. They couldn't do much with a bad script, bad directing etc. This could have been better had they treated it with passion and respect. ZLY wasn't in her best form either as she looked zoned out post childbirth and blank at times, and I still can't forget WYB's portrayal as LWJ. XY looked supercial at times and I don't feel chemistry at all between the leads. They looked like siblings than a couple.

You're very generous with your rating. :) This drama is really meant for ZLY and WYB true fans. I had hard time to finish before dropped it in the end. Totally agreed with Xie Yun is a reminisce character of Wei Ying - WYB isn't suitable for this type of role.

Wang Yibo looks best in Untamed since the Lan Wangji role is very suitable with his profile and personality. As Xie Yun, I think it's a miscast. I'm not used to see him as a flirtatious guy, and I prefer book Xie Yun over the drama one.

Zhao Liying looks older than Wang Yibo. I done feel any chemistry at all, they're more like brother and sister. Overall, I really don't like how the production team minimized the plot. This drama looks like an OBSOLETE WUXIA in the 90s despite being a big budget production.

Totally agreed with your review. I dropped this drama. It could have been better if they treated it with love and respect. SAD.

The ML's acting is so bad. He's just a pretty face. The FL is so dumb and ignorant, but the actress' portrayal is quite believable. I push FF button a lot while watching this.

It's fun in the beginning but sucky at the end. Typical C drama. They always added unnecessary plot that weakened the most important characters and elements in the drama. The novel is so much better.
